The day went well but the quoted taxes were $15 each and we’re told by the crew it was $20. Also there wasn’t any beer/sodas in the shuttle and no “Mexican snacks”

We chose Tulum-Turtles because we had already visited a cenote, and we wanted only o half day tour. In the confirmation mail it said that the exact pich up time would be sent later, but I never got any. So the day before I contacted you both by email and when I didn't get any reply I also sent a message via Messenger. There I got an answer and a pick up time. When the minivan came to the hotel to pick us up, it was not in good condition. It sounded really bad out on the motorway. There was also too much people in it, so very crowded and uncomfortable to sit. The Tulum-tour was good, perhaps a bit short. Most of the time went to walking to the site, standing in line waiting to enter and then walk back to the car. The guide was very good, but as I said, we id not have much time for the guiding part. After that we went to the beach in Tulum where we got into a boat and drove to see the ruins of Tulum from the ocean. After that the boat took us to the reef for some snorkeling. There was almost nothing to see, we saw a few stingrays and some other small fishes. But luckily we saw one turtle, if we wouldn't have seen that, I would have been very disappointed with the trip. After the snorkeling we were done and ready to go home, but the minivan did not take us back to the hotel, in stead we went to a place in the jungle where we had lunch. OK, but very basic. After that we were told by the guide to wait in the "restaurant", since the rest of the people were going to the cenote ant we hd not booked the cenote. Which was true. When all others had gone into the car, the driver waved at us to come, so we went. We thought that maybe they wanted us to wait in the car in stead of in the "restaurant". When we arrived at the cenote we all got out of the van and started walking. We did not know what to do so we also walked. When we got to the showers the guide and the driver asked why we didn't want to go to the cenote. We tried to explain that we had not booked and payed for the cenote-part, but they did not seem to understand. They asked if we were afraid or why we wouldn't want to go. Since we had not payed for it we felt that we couldn't join. So we walked with the rest of the group to the cenote and waited there until they came back. Which took quite some time. After that we were taken back to the hotel. According to the website, the tour was supposed to be a half day, which is what we wanted, but we got a full day. We had rather have spent the afternoon at our resort than driving into the jungle, eating some not so good lunch and waiting by the cenote (where we got a lot of mosquito bites) for almost an hour. According to the website, soft drinks and beer was also supposed to be included during the transportation, but the only drinks we got was water. Not even during the transport, it was when we arrived in Tulum that we got something to drink. According to the website it also said "small groups", which it wasn't. The guide and the driver were really nice and seeing that one turtle was also nice. But the whole thing felt quite unorganized and I wouldn't choose your company again. Best regards, Annika and Sebastian
