Great Mayan tour. - Amazing views and Mili gave some great information on the Mayan beliefs. The driver was great, and it was definitely a full day tour.

This could have been good - I would like to give this tour more than 3 stars, but I can't. Tulum, Coba, and the Cenote are unique and worth visiting. The Playa de Carmen component consists of a visit to the main shopping street and is nothing great. The problem with the tour is that the company basically uses it as a non-stop shopping promo for their goods. Lunch consists of a visit to the company store where you are forced to wait for its restaurant. When you go into the restaurant, it is nearly empty and you wonder why you were waiting. The food is less than mediocre. So much time is spent at the company store/restaurant that Coba is short changed. You are given one hour to see a large site. In order to see most of it, you need to rent a bicycle from the place. On the way, the company tries to sell you a liquor bottle with your picture on it. Other items which are strongly pushed include unlimited water for $11 (you will not break even unless you drink 7 bottles), bug repellent for $7 (it's the dry season and you don't need it), and a shaman ceremony.

Nope-not again - We would not recommend the ‘Tulum 4x 1’ tour. Here were the issues: 1) After picking everyone up they stopped the bus…for an hour. They didn’t communicate to anyone what the issue was. 2) once we started again the passengers were upset. The tour guide attempted to cheer everyone one up but when they didn’t respond how he wanted he said ‘fine, I will sit back, drink my rum and you can do whatever you want’. 3) every stop we made the tour guide said ‘every has to hurry, we only have 20 to 30 minutes ‘ He wanted us to hurry, but again had earlier stopped the bus for an hour with no explanation. 3) the tour guide also said that if we didn’t hurry, we could be left behind and he didn’t care. If it was just me and my wife, i would have called a taxi right then and returned to the hotel. But, we had our niece with us…so we continued the tour. 4) it was really hot out. We got to our first stop at the ruins the tour guide gave some people water, but not everyone. I did not get water. I asked him where was the water he said he handed them out and asked where was i at. He simply turned away, raised his hands in the air like he didn’t care and just walked away. 5) they provided snacks for some but not everyone. We did not get any snacks or food. They did not stop anywhere to let people buy snacks. 6) we stopped for food as part of the tour, at 3:30 PM. No breakfast, no lunch and a tour guide that just wanted everyone to hurry but he could take his time whenever he wanted. Our tour guide it clear he was willing to leave people behind for any reason. There was no food, no water until very late. I won’t do this tour again…i don’t recommend anyone else do this tour.
