- Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve - Join us for a boat safari where you’ll traverse lagoons and the sea, navigating around the Punta Allen peninsula. Your adventure begins as you enter the Reserve by passing under the Sian Ka’an arch in a minivan. After a short drive of less than 10 km on a dusty jungle road, you’ll arrive at our picturesque pier at the edge of Campechen lagoon. Here, you’ll board a traditional boat with expert captains ready to guide you. You’ll journey to the village of Punta Allen, navigating through mangrove canals, discovering unique spots, and spotting wildlife such as crocodiles, birds, and manatees. Once you reach the charming fishing village of Punta Allen, you’ll switch to another boat for the second part of this exciting adventure: riding the waves in search of dolphins, racing alongside sea turtles as they surface for air, and snorkeling on the world’s second-largest reef. Sian Ka’an means “gift from the sky” in the Mayan language.
- Punta Allen - Enjoy lunch at the exclusive Fisherman restaurant in Punta Allen, where from July to February, you can savor a delicious buffet and freshly caught lobster. Before returning to the lagoon pier where your captain awaits, you’ll explore the village. Take a 15-minute stroll through a place where people live simply, relying on the sea and jungle, far from the hustle and bustle of modern society.
