Nico was such a great tour guide, he was patient, kind, informative, and made the overall tour so enjoyable!! Although this tour seemed a little steep at first, I would highly recommend it because it was worth every penny paid!

Amazing day in the Mayan lands - We loved our day in the Mayan lands. Our guides, Palama and Ernesto, were great! They gave us relevant information throughout the day and accompanied us in the activities. The meal at Manuel’s and the monkey watching were our favorites. The price is very adequate considering that everything is included (except the tips for the guides at the end, but that is normal). We highly recommend this activity to anyone who wants to spend an immersive day near the city of Tulum.

Amazing Tour and Guides! - This was such a great tour experience! The tour guide, Paloma, was so friendly and had snacks for everyone. She spoke Spanish, English, and French, which was very impressive! She’s even learning Mayan. She was very knowledgeable, and clearly had a love and passion for Mayan culture and history. We were driven around by Ernesto, who was a great driver and helper for Paloma. My favorite part of the tour was the Coba Ruins — they were very cool to see, and Paloma had a lot of information regarding the different structures, symbols, and cultural importance of these things to the Mayan people. Every other part of the tour was great as well — Punta Laguna is beautiful, dining at the Mayan family’s house was delicious, and the Cenote swim was refreshing (and exhilarating, if you decided to jump off from 5m, 7m, or 8m above the cenote). Another huge positive of this tour is that you are picked up and dropped off at your hotel, and the tour sizes are fairly small (ours had only 9 people). I highly recommend this experience with Paloma and Ernesto.

Incredible Experience - We would give this tour 100 out of 10 stars if we could. This was an incredible experience and was a highlight of our trip. Our guide, Miguel, was fantastic. We learned so much about the culture of the Mayans, both past and present. This company does an amazing job of ensuring that the local economy and culture are honored, respected and represented. We also did the Chichen Itza tour the following day and loved it too!

Great day trip to Coba and the Laguna Nature Reserve - An excellent day, brilliant guide and a fascinating tour of Coba. The day included bikes around the vast city of Coba in the jungle, Punta Laguna with sighting of howler and spider monkeys, a zip line crossing of the lake, a canoe ride, a traditional mayan lunch and a denote swim to freshen up. A perfect day.

Adventure, culture, conservation, FUN!! - My family and I, (kids 7 & 9) just finished the Coba/Punta Laguna tour with Mexico Kan. The short review: Paloma and Gaulberto were amazing!! 10/10 would recommend!. Paloma was so knowledgeable about the area, the history, and the culture. We learned so much! Their combined passion for environmental and cultural conservation was exactly what we were looking for! The long review: For anyone traveling with young children. If you’re concerned about the safety of taking your kids deep in the jungle for an adventure. Don’t be, I had the same concerns. At no point did anything feel uncomfortable. Quite frankly, I felt safer on this trip than I do in most of the US. Gualberto picked us up on time at our resort. Very professional in a very nice van. We had a fantastic conversation about trees and ecology and the way to Tulum. Once in Tulum we picked up our amazing guide, Paloma, and two other travelers. Our first stop was the ruins of Coba. As soon as we walked into the park, we saw spider monkeys! After that we rented our bicycles and peddled to the end of the trail. The plan was to bicycle to the end of the trail and work our way back stopping for Paloma to interpret the different sites. About halfway through the first stop, the thunder, lightning and heavy rain started! This kinda freaked my kids out a bit! But Paloma and the other two travelers were so kind and encouraging that my kids were able to find their strength and push on! At this point, in a downpour, Paloma offered to head back to the van. Our party of 7 all agreed, we’re already wet. Let’s keep going. I have to say, riding a bicycle through the jungle, amongst ancient ruins, in a thunderstorm was so much fun! Top ten life moment for me! The 10 year old came out in all of us adults and we all laughed and giggled as we enjoyed what Mother Nature had for us! Our next stop was Punta Laguna wildlife reserve. Absolutely beautiful place! Having the honor of participating in a Mayan purification ceremony, in the jungle of the Yucatán, was life affirming! Lunch was then hosted by the Manuel Family (my apologies if I remembered their name incorrectly) in a nearby village. Watching Maria teach my daughter how to make tortillas was the second top ten life moment of the day! The lunch was delicious and would have been worth the drive just for it! Our final stop was a swim in a nearby cenote. I won’t try to describe it, words just won’t do it justice. Finally, if you’re looking for a chance to get out of the tourist zone and experience the Yucatán in an environmentally and culturally respectful way. Book this tour! You won’t regret it! And if you’re lucky, you just might get Paloma and Gualberto as your guides!!
