Once in a lifetime trip—a must do! - This tour was my favorite from our recent trip to Mexico. Luigi was our tour guide and he was incredibly knowledgeable, patient with our 6 year old son, and an overall fun personality to spend the day with. He’s one of the best guides we’ve had. We started with a visit to the Mayan ruins in Tulum, and Luigi’s commentary helped us imagine what life was like for the ancient civilization. He was gracious enough to take pictures of us, which I greatly appreciated! After the ruins, we walked down to the breathtaking beach for a swim, followed by lunch at a taco spot called Taquería Honorio. It was an authentic experience and the tacos were delicious.
The grand finale was visiting Sian Kaan. We were taken to a lagoon by speed boat to float down the Muyil. It’s so peaceful, relaxing and refreshing all at once. The current gently moves you along. I didn’t want it to end. After the float, you have to walk back to the speed boats on a boardwalk. It’s not a treacherous walk, but some of the wood planks are loose or broken. The scenery is stunning though as you walk back in the middle of Sian Kaan with nothing around you. I’ll remember it always! The beauty of Sian Kaan is remarkable; we can’t wait to go back and explore some more. You won’t regret this tour—do it!

Don’t miss this excursion! - Fantastic experience! Wear comfortable shoes,
take a towel and bring your phone/camera and bring a waterproof dry-bag for your belongings that won’t be left on the shuttle. Also, you’ll have free time to shop for souvenirs or get coffee, etc. so bring some pesos.
Niko, our guide, was seriously amazing. He’s multilingual, is very knowledgeable in historical culture and was super helpful for all participants the entire tour.

Unforgettable experience in the natural beauty of the Mayan world - We were reminded of the incredible feats of the Mayan empire with its advanced knowledge of astronomical calculations that could forecast solar eclipses and tracked solar and lunar annual timetables for the planting and harvests of crops. Our favorite highlight was Sian Ka'an Muyil where Mayan ruins still lay buried in the lush surrounding jungles and mangrove framed lagoons that spread as far as the eye can see. Even here the Mayan legacies remain in the intricate canal systems the Mayans dug through the marshy savanna's limestone beds of sand to give them seafaring acces to and from the Caribbean. As we drifted and swam through the canals' gentle current we witnessed the incredible interplay of light between cloud-stacked sky and water that turned the clear water shades of emerald green and deep blue as the sun filtered through the billowing clouds. Hats off to our informative and ever supportive guide Iber from Mexico Kan tours who made our day-long journey an unforgettable experience.

A Wonderful way to spend the day in Tulum - I was able to book my tour(s) with Mexican Kan Tours with the help of the concierge at my hotel. She sent me the link to their website and I booked using my credit card. Everything went smoothly throughout the day and the Tulum ruins were perched above the most gorgeous strip of beach you'll ever see. Tacos for lunch were good, and I enjoyed having a half hour in town to pick up some chocolate and a few other items, but the true star of the day is floating down Sian Ka-an for an hour. It's not possible to express the gorgeousness of the experience and can't be overstated.

Alejo is your guide! Highly recommend!! - We came across this tour when we were looking for a day trip to do the archeological site and Sian Kaan. We are a family of 5 plus a 2 year old baby. Wr weren't sure how it would go but turned out to be a great tour. Our guide Alejo picked us up from our hotel at 8:50am. We started off with the Tulum archeological site. The site is a small walk across the ruins with history information and after that our guide took us for breakfast at Taqueria Honorio. Best place and great tacos.
We were taken to Sian Kaan after that. We took our swimsuits with us. The tour in the mangroves was beautiful. Best part of our tour or even our trip was when we were allowed to swim in the waters in the mangroves. We dint take the baby in the water to swim because she was only two years old. We had our life jackets on and the stream flow helped us just relax and go with the water. The swim in the waters through fresh water mangroves was so beautiful and def recommend it. It was about 15-20 mins in water. Overall great trip. We finished our trip around 3:15pm.
Special thanks to our guide Alejo for taking such good care of us. He is very knowledgeable and sounded like he travelled quite a bit. He dint overwhelm us with too much bookish information but took back a good amount information regarding the ruins and the parks he showed around. Very pleasant and friendly guide and if I'm coming back to Tulum he will be the guy I contact for any kind of tours. Thanks Alejo for the wonderful tour.

HISTORY + RELAXATION + BEAUTIFUL PICS - This is the BEST tour we did our whole Tulum trip. His pictures were excellent and the history lesson was RICH. The lazy river was the BEST part for us. The boat started failing us on the way back to the bus and should probing be to be serviced asap, especially since we almost got caught in a downpour of rain coming. Nevertheless after a few tiles of trying to get it started and restarted we got safely back to the bus, although shaking and scary af. Hence why it’s 4 stars but I would definitely do the tour again with our tour guide. He made it fun, interesting, and very relaxing. THANK YOU!

A solid option for fitting in Rulum ruins and Sian Kaan same day - Pick up at our hotel was smooth, even with our kids car seats coming along. We had one stop to pick up others. Van was nice, though only had lap belts. Our guide, Layda, was friendly and knowledgeable. The ruins were fascinating - i wish we had a little more time to see everything. Interpretation was impressive. With kids, we felt slightly rushed to keep up with the group. From there, we went to Sian Kaan, quickly changed into suits and got on small boats for the ride across two large interior lakes. The area was beautiful and the ride was fun. The hight of the trip comes after the 20 min boat ride where we jumped into the ancient Mayan mangrove canal and floated a half mile or so thru the reserve. Our 5 yr old was apprehensive about getting in the water at first but then warmed up to it as we floated. Birding was good along the route.
