Worth it - This tour was amazing! I much preferred this small group tour over the bigger one we took to Chichen Itza. Cancun Adventures is definitely the way to go! Our driver, Jonathan, was on time to pick us up at the resort and made sure we got to each destination safely. Our guide, Manny, was hilarious and incredibly knowledgeable on many different topics. Tulum is a beautiful place. The ride to the cenote was rough as it is deep down a jungle path, but the experience is absolutely worth it. The cenote was honestly my favorite part. Underground cave with crystal blue water and it was breathtaking. (Literally, it’s freezing in there lol) Next, we went snorkeling with sea turtles! There were so many! And an Eagle Ray which was beautiful. After, lunch at a beach club. You cannot swim here, but the view is gorgeous and the food and drinks were delicious. In between places, Manny got to know the group which was 10 people, and where we were all from. He also told us a bit about himself and made us all comfortable during the ride. 10/10 would recommend this tour!

Telum excursion - Adai was an extremely informative guide. He is very passionate about his heritage and a wealth of knowledge! Would have like to spend a little more time at the ruins. The senotas and swimming with the turtles was beautiful. Dinner was delicious! It was a bit pricey but our 12 and 15 year old daughters absolutely loved it!

Spotty Experience - ups and downs abound - Took my 15 yo daughter on the Tulum, Cenote, and Turtles experience. Booked right through the website, which was relatively easy. The experience had some really good parts, as well as some parts that were not good at all, so here goes: - Time - says 6.5 hours, but was over 11 hours door to door. This could have been greatly shortened without impacting the experience, including having to stop and get gas on the way back to the hotels. Really? We had 4 stops, each close to an hour, with a couple near places to get gas. No way we should have had to stop for gas. Two stars - Guide - Our guide Mario was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, kept us informed, and was entertaining. 5 stars for Mario. - Tulum - This was everything you would think it would be. More touristy at the end with the part on our own, but par for what you'd expect. 4 stars - Cenote - This turned out to be the unexpected gem of the tour. Fantastic, what a cool experience. 5+ stars...fantastic and a must do for anyone coming to the area. Go to a 'closed' cenote where the water is crystal clear. - Turtle - no turtles. Snorkeling in a lagoon. Guides said there wouldn't be any, but that wasn't what it said online. Anyway, the snorkeling was ok. Foggy area where fresh and salt water merge. 3 stars - Photos - At the cenote they took pics, which were pretty expensive. $50 for 1, or $75 for the package. We got the package, but they upsold us for $20 to get pics at the snorkeling. When we got there the photographer wasn't there...so no pics getting in. Since he wasn't there he had no idea who was who getting out...so no pics there. Trainwreck and unprofessional. When you ask people to pay for a job up front, be there to do the job. 1 star - Lunch - Location was good, food was decent, but certainly added time. Also, lunch was at 3 pm. Could easily have been added to the Tulum portion (where there were restaurants and time was noon). Service was good and location was beautiful. 3 stars All in all, very mixed bag.

They really showed us they couldn’t be bothered with our well being. - We were picked up in a shuttle, there was 8 of us total. Then partway through the drive to tulum we had to stop on the side of the road and change vans so there could be 12 of us in one shuttle. 12 people is not a problem normally, if there is room for everyone to at least be slightly comfortable. We had to sit in the very back bench, which was so cramped for four adults (average sized people.) we were crammed so tightly that we couldn’t bend over to access our bags and our arms and shoulders were overlapping. That sucks but it’s bearable until it’s sweltering. there was no air flow and two broken vents and one was the one over me, so being pushed up against the window by the beating sun and no air, I started to to feel heat exhausted and anxious. I’m never usually claustrophobic, I wasn’t in the dark cave, the cenote, but that shuttle experience made me claustrophobic. I reached out to tour comp. via email and app to explain our issue (never answered any Calls) and was not responded to for hours. When I finally was, they only said sorry for the inconvenience but stated 12 tourists was in the fine print. 12 tourists is not the problem! What wasn’t in the fine print was the fact that the shuttle would be miserable for the back seat bench passengers, on a several hour drive with no air flow, dripping sweat. Tour guide reminded us to buckle up several times which was so crazy being that we four in the back were so close none of us could access seat belts. It would have been nice to feel safe. Cancun adventures weren’t apologetic or wanting to reach out to remedy it in any way. It was Complete crickets after telling me to pay attention to the passenger number details. our tour guide was an absolute gem and so helpful and knowledgeable but besides being worried and apologetic her hands were tied by the company. What was she supposed to do. I felt bad it stressed her out because I really felt for her. Viator tried to reach out to them on our behalf throughout the tour regarding the van and never heard back, at least not during the seven hour tour. Viator offered us a a partial refund but due to being ignored by the tour company through calls and emails and WhatsApp I declined, believing the company should do the right thing and refund us. They refuse. Now I have to dispute with the bank charges. It’s the principle now, more so than the money. They treated us terribly. Wish I could post here their careless and dismissive correspondence with us after the tour was ended. I’ve been on many guided tours and never once complained. I say this to say I I don’t believe my expectations are unreasonable. Tour guide was 5 stars a sweetheart and tried her best to remedy the situation. She knew we needed another van but was at the mercy of the company. We tried to call an uber but those dirt roads are so long and very bumpy, we couldn’t get a ride.
