2 day tour with adventure guaranteed! - It was a unique experience! We only had two days, so we decided to do the tour with Tumpak Sewu and Bromo. In the morning, our driver Eko picked us up and drove us to Tumpak Sewu. The journey takes several hours. Since the bridge there is currently closed, we were driven on scooters to the entrance of the waterfall, where we set off with a guide. The descent and ascent is definitely only for people who are not restricted in mobility. You have to walk down a steep ravine and back up again! But it's worth it, the view is amazing and there is also a smaller waterfall where you can stop for a swim. After the tour, the journey continued to a hotel near Bromo (Joglo Kecombrang Bromo), which was really very cute. We were able to rest there for a few hours before setting off for the volcano at 2 a.m. We were driven to a parking lot, from where we took a jeep. It took us to the top. Eko walked with us to the viewing point and we waited for the sunrise, which was really breathtaking! After sunrise and a few insider tips from Eko for taking photos, we went back to the jeep and drove down to the sand field, where we took photos with the jeep. Then the two drivers took us to the parking lot of the volcano, from where the two of us set off and climbed the crater rim. The two drivers were waiting for us at the jeep. After we returned, the jeep driver took us back to the car and Eko drove us back to the hotel, where we had breakfast. Then we went back to Surabaya. The tour is really a worry-free package and highly recommended!

I wouldn't bother - The waterfall day was great. I would recommend taking a car there and spending the day. There are places you can swim at the waterfall, but this tour doesn't recommend swimming shorts, or provide sufficient time to take a dip. It is fairly strenuous, the downhill descent and uphill climb proved difficult for a lot of people. Onto the day 2, mt bromo. The bit I was looking forward to the most, but unfortunately was not what I expected. A 1:30am wake-up, to drive 15 minutes by car, and then wait around for an hour and a half for a jeep to arrive. There was so so so many jeeps, and people, it was madness. Id estimate a good 400 jeeps, all heading in the same direction, all trying to overtake, undertake and beep at each other through narrow roads. When you arrive at the viewpoint at 3:30am, you then are kicked out wherever they decide to abandon the jeep, and left to your own devices for 2 hours. The viewpoint was massively over-crowded. Shoulder to shoulder with a good thousand+ tourists (mainly Chinese), all with their phones in your face. Lastly, the viewpoint is super cold. There are lots of people at the viewpoint renting coats, hats and scarfs etc. What would have been better is for the tour booking to advise 'bring warm clothing, as it gets cold'. Just feels like another way for them to make money.
