It’s home to many covered souks selling everything from shoes to shisha, as well as bustling cafes, alleys full of working artisans, and residential areas punctuated by large, brightly painted doors. Historic palaces, hammams, mosques and madrassas (schools for the study of the Koran) are scattered throughout, many are richly decorated with tiles, carved stucco and marble columns.

As part of a full-day tour of Tunis that includes lunch and round-trip transport from your hotel. You will visit four sites: Medina, La Goulette, Carthage and Sidi BouSaid.
The best way to explore the city of Tunis in depth is with its old Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Then set off to discover La Goulette, this suburban district is renowned for the perpetual animation that reigns in its streets. Take a break for lunch at a local restaurant.
After visiting this district, you will also have the chance to visit the ancient city of Carthage which has ancient monuments offering a superb view of the surrounding coast. After visiting this UNESCO heritage archaeological site, you will continue to Sidi Bou Saïd, a picturesque village in blue and white which overlooks the Mediterranean Sea.

Totally unforgettable, learnt a huge amount of Tunisian History - The driver and guide, (the guide wrote their names down, but I lost the bit of paper) from the outset were polite and welcoming. Our guide was amazing with the amount of knowledge and explained the history clearly. The different areas we visited were stunningly beautiful. At all times our guide made sure we was safe. The restaurant he took us to was quaint, the starters and next course of an egg cooked in a very thin pastry was so tasty, then the fish arrives, very well cooked and tasted divine, to the last course of lemon sorbet with half a strawberry, again lovely. We then went to Tunis and Medina, the sites, sounds and smells was extremely enjoyable. I had to use my wheelchair, at no point was it too much trouble to help me overcome obstacles or change route to a more wheelchair friendly route. 5 stars is not enough to give to the driver and tour guide. They deserve recognition for making the day wonderful.

A great day out - Can honestly say was a fantastic day out. Ahmed was very knowledgeable and an awesome guide. Views we gorgeous. Make sure you wear comfy shoes.

History of Tunis/Carthage - Really liked Sidi Bou Said and our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the area and took us to less-travelled spots with great views. Our driver got us to each spot quickly and safely.

A nice surprise - The guide was very courteous and very passionate about his work, you could ask him anything and he would know the complete history and background. The transport was very comfortable, even the lunch was great. The main thing I liked about the guide he could see we loved taking pics so he gave us enough time to wander around to take as many pic as we wanted, we did not feel rushed at all. The best thing is he actually knew all the hidden spots to take the best pics and kind of adapted the tour a little bit to meet our needs.

Lovely Experience - I had a lovely experience!
The tour guide and the driver were extremely welcoming! And the tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and knew about Tunisia’s history like the back of hand!

Tunis, cartage and bu said day tour - Ahmed the guide was excellent, knowledgeable, friendly, went out of his way to serve us.
Driver osama was very good too.
Gelled wirh us straight away and made us feel at home. As my wife and I have difficulty in walking, he made sure to pick us up as near to the place as possible. Thanks to both of them and I would highly recommend them to others.
Thanks Ahmad and osama for making our tour and our day mosy enjoyable and an experience to cherish.

Great experience for wonders of Tunisia - Great service overall, and value for money. The driver was polite and helpful. Tour guide was informative about the sites, interesting and entertaining and managed the day well, provided umbrella for bad weather. However, he was struggling with a cold/allergy all day and sometimes smoking ( could have asked us if we mind, or do it only on secluded breaks . Lunch was awesome, enjoyed the day overall

Great day out - interesting and insightful! - Pick up was on time and friendly. Our tour guide was welcoming and very knowledgeable, happy to answer questions, take pictures. Our driver was also lovely and efficient (and safe!). We enjoyed the visits to the sites and were given plenty of time to explore at our own pace. Would thoroughly recommend the trip but would suggest you specify if you don't eat fish. Lunch was basic but pleasant (drinks not included but are still cheap).
