Black Church (Biserica Neagra) - In Brasov, originally a Saxon town known as Kronstadt in German and briefly called Stalin during the communist era, visit the Black Church, which houses the largest collection of Ottoman carpets in Europe, along with some medieval towers and bastions. (If visiting on a Monday, the Black Church visit will be substituted with another site.)

Viscri Fortified Church - This rural area reveals the best-preserved traditional Saxon village in Transylvania, where the community remains vibrant, and small rural businesses thrive. HRH Prince Charles of Wales owns a traditional Saxon household here. Visit the 13th-century fortified church, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Centrul Istoric Sighisoara - Sighisoara’s medieval fortress is one of the few still inhabited in Europe. Surrounded by 9 of the original 14 defense towers, each belonging to a local guild, the fortress boasts beautiful medieval architecture and legends, including the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler, also known as Dracula.
