Ecotourism class learns from Explornatura - Explornatura organized a 9 day itinerary for our group of 13 ecotourism students from Western Carolina University. We did canopy tours, zip lining, rafting, kayaking, food and market tours, hiked the Turriabla volcano, home-stays, horseback riding, volcano/ant farm/butterfly/sugarcane/nature preserve tours, and visited with tourism officials. Everything went perfect! There was constant communication and professionalism. Even more importantly, the trips we did were all impactful in their own individual ways. We are beyond grateful to Massi and his team. Explornatura easily receives my highest recommendation.

Amazing Custom Itinerary for University Ecotourism Course - It is hard to put into words how amazing our 10-day trip in Costa Rica was with Explornatura. From the multiple meetings to design the course to the careful attention given to every aspect of our experience while in Costa Rica - their customer service is exceptional. We had 13 university students and two professors on a 9-day course exploring ecotourism in Costa Rica. Activities included walking tour of San Jose, meeting with the ICT staff, canyoneering and canopy tour in Turrialba at Explornatura, lodging for part of our stay at their Bamboo Lodges, introduction to kayaking, whitewater rafting on the Pacuare River, cultural immersion in Mollejones including homestays, nature exploration day hike and night hike at Tirimbina and staying at the Tirimbina Ecolodge and more. We hope to be back with more students! Thanks to Explornatura, their staff and the guides they contracted with. We have been taking students on travel courses for over 40 years and this was one of the best!

BEST WEEK EVER - I was completely blown away by this trip. The guides were so welcoming and were so passionate about CR. I will never forget this experience and I am so happy with how everything went. From experiencing the local community of Mollejones to repelling down waterfalls, everything was amazing!

Amazing canopying! - This is so amazing! Highly recommended, I was traveling solo and felt genuinely cared during the canopy! The view was amazing and the zipline is pretty cool!

Mental health and life...!!! - It was an unforgettable and incredible experience... The treatment of the guides was super good... The tour was very fun.. Nice.. A lot of security and patience.. They treated us wonderfully.. The group I went with was super aimed at the adrenaline... Everything really came together to make a wonderful day... Thank you explornatura.. Great experience ziplining and rappelling! - Great experience. We are a family of 7 with 3 younger children, 13, 10 and 8 and it was the perfect balance of exciting (ziplining & rappelling) and yet well organized and safe. Chris, Rob and Samhir did a wonderful job as guides. Everyone was friendly and patient. The food afterwards was great and overall we have a wonderful time. I would recommend the tour to anyone!

Spectacular Experience! - Zip lining, repelling waterfalls, and daring to cross a swinging bridge are experiences I will always remember. The guides ensured we were safe and that we had a blast! The views were unbelievable- we even saw a sloth!

The best waterfall rappel and zipline adventure in Turrialba - We expected to be guided in a group but we had a prived tour with to guides Cris and Eric. It was an awesome experience. We were professionally guided and had a lot of fun. We would recommend to experience this tour too. Do not hestitate, just book it. And enjoy this great adventure.

Great Time in the Rainforest - Great time rappelling and zip-lining with guides Cris and Eric. Both were personable and professional along with having good senses of humor. My son had no issues with the rappelling, but I struggled on the first two due to my sandals being too slippery on the rocks. Word to the wise - either wear Keens or some sort of shoe with hiking treads, so you can get some purchase on the rocks. I think part of what made this experience so much fun is that it combined three different elements - rappelling, zip-lining, and a dicey hanging bridge (safe but can be a challenge if you are balance-challenged!). Total blast in the rainforest!
