Nice day out, cruising down Tweed River! - Very friendly staff from the moment we arrived. Great commentary from the captain and learnt a lot about the rainforest and Tweed River history along the way. Licensed so we enjoyed some drinks on the top deck to celebrate hubby's birthday. Allanah was a great host and the lunch provided was delicious! Prawns were tasty with fresh bread and the smoked chicken and relish was so good. Would definitely recommend...

River cruise and lunch a worthwhile trip and experience. - Beautiful boat the Exlporer, excellent knowledgeable commentary from captain, and truly delicious lunch. Sharing our table with other couples provided us with getting to experience friendly conversations, although from different parts of Australia and beyond.

Well organised, great value with delicious food and great surroundings - . We arrived on time to be greeted and checked in by a very pleasant young lady who had rung us earlier to check we were coming. The passengers were then taken down to the Swan, an older style large river cruiser in top condition, which had a comfortable spacious cabin with allocated tables at entry level and a sheltered top deck where a better view was available. We headed off to explore the beautiful Tweed River after a safety briefing. It helped that it was a corker of a day as we cruised up river. An interesting commentary was provided by the skipper about the history of the environs, and its settlers as well as the riverside features. The bar was open during the trip. I saw a ray cut across the bows as we entered the main channel and black swans with cygnets. Osprey nests were pointed out en route. We arrived at the rain forest island after about 1 1/2 hours and saw bird feeding of kites and others including a sea eagle. We headed for home and lunch was served. A home made ploughman’s quiche (or perhaps pie) of ham and veges and cold meats and large prawns were all delicious. We shared a dozen well priced oysters as well. On the way back 5 dolphins cruised under the bow riding the bow wave - an amazing sight that the passengers were able to view. We arrived back on time at 3 well satisfied with the trip and in no need of dinner that evening. Thoroughly recommend this trip.

Locals cruising the Tweed River - Two great experiences with Tweed Eco Cruises, one daylight cruise with family from New Zealand which was a wonderful day, so we decided to do the Sunset cruise, once again a top notch trip, Staff on both boats were terrific.

A great day on the Tweed River - It was a wonderful experience seeing beautiful native bird life and rainforest as well as a great commentary from Jonathan about the impact of both indigenous and European settlement on the river. The food was excellent and the crew were happy and approachable. A great way to learn more about the Tweed area and to do it in such a relaxing way.

Tweed River cruise - Although very wet and grey, we had a lovely trip. Very attentive staff and delicious food. The highlight was feeding the amazing birds from the back of the boat. Although pouring, it was a wonderful experience. A lovely 3 hour tour.
