Highlights
  • Twin Falls - Your interpretive guide will take you on a drive though the historic Old Town and Warehouse District of Twin Falls.

In 1904, our town was founded and built and became home to shops, restaurants, theaters and more. This historic area has been restored much to its original state and refreshed with modern features, perfect for a leisurely visit after your tour.

Take a short stroll through the Downtown Commons and immerse yourself in our art culture as you experience aspects of Idaho’s history as told through colorful murals and statues.

  • Shoshone Falls - Take a short drive to Shoshone Falls, known as “the Niagara of the west”. There, you will find yourself surrounded in ancient volcanic geologic history as your interpretive guide takes you back in time more than 15,000 years when Lake Bonneville overflowed its rim some 300 miles away ripping away Idaho’s terrain and creating this stunning natural wonder ranked as one of the top three waterfalls in the United States.

Walk down onto the main viewing platform for an up close experience and spectacular views just yards from the top of the flowing falls. This famous waterfall stands 212 feet high and spans 950 feet across the Snake River Canyon.

  • Perrine Bridge - Spanning 1,500 feet across the Snake River Canyon, the I. B. Perrine Memorial Bridge is at a height 486 feet above the Snake River. It is the only bridge in the United States where B.A.S.E. jumping is legal without a permit every day of the year, attracting jumpers from all over the world to its rails.
  • Buzz Langdon Visitor Center - Inside the center, you’ll find everything you need for your trip in Southern Idaho. Discover historic photos, watch informative videos, and learn more about the four national park properties in our area. Talk to staff for maps, travel guides, lodging deals and locals-only recommendations.

The Center’s floor-to-ceiling windows offer views of the Snake River & the Snake River Canyon, the 486-feet-tall Perrine Bridge, and the historic Evel Knievel jump site.

  • Twin Falls Warehouse Historic District - Take a drive through Twin Falls’ Historic Downtown, City Center and Warehouse Districts listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

See the iconic silos where in 1915 Twin Falls Milling and Elevator Company stored and distributed food and flour throughout the country and beyond.

Pass by our beautiful historic churches situated all around the Twin Falls City Park, known as one of the most inviting parks in the state of Idaho.

Learn the history of how Twin Falls came to be through the eyes of the pioneers who transformed the sagebrush wasteland into what has become one of the fastest growing cities in Idaho.

Hear how the visionary I.B. Perrine harnessed the Snake River to create one of the largest agricultural areas in Southern Idaho.

  • Evel Knievel Snake River Canyon Jump Site - On September 8th, 1976, the famous daredevil, Evel Knievel, attempted to jump across the Snake River on his final jump. Though the jump was not successful (Evel landed in the bottom of the Snake River Canyon and was safely rescued), his jump ramp is still visible from the I.B. Perrine Memorial Bridge and accessible via a paved walking path along the Snake River Canyon Rim o
  • Snake River Canyon Trail - Walk along the Snake River Canyon Trail as you make your way to the overlook platform for views of our two beautiful golf courses located in the canyon while watching kayakers and paddle boarders making their way to Pillar Falls and the mighty Shoshone Falls.

Watch as B.A.S.E. jumpers “fly” off the the I. B. Perrine Memorial bridge right before your eyes as the descend on their 28 second ride into the Snake River Canyon.

  • Shoshone Falls Park - Located at Shoshone Falls, this lovely park sits adjacent to Shoshone Falls. Here you can purchase snacks and souvenirs to commemorate your trip to Shoshone Falls.

Learn about our local history and culture through interpretive boards including the construction of the Shoshone Falls Powerplant and Dam.

Built in 1907, Shoshone Falls was the first power plant in Idaho’s Magic Valley. It was acquired by Idaho Power in 1916 and rebuilt in 1921. Shoshone Falls Power Plant is located on the Snake River near Twin Falls, Idaho, at river mile 614.7. The plant includes a diversion dam and a powerhouse.

Best tour of a area we have not seen - The falls were the best. We also enjoyed the town. It is very clean and historical. Our guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable. She is excellent at her job. Very happy we chose this tour. She took us to all the perfect areas and we didn’t have to drive around to find them. Her van was very clean and comfortable.

Twin Falls and Shoshone Falls half-day guided tour - My wife and I took the Twin Falls and Shoshoni Falls half-day tour in mid May 2024. We were absolutely thrilled but what a wonderful experience it was this really is the only way to see the local area. You can book with confidence with big Green Adventure Tours. Gabby was our guide and we cannot say enough wonderful things about her. She was just amazing. We learned so much on our tour and saw so many things that we would have been unable to do if we had tried to do it by ourselves. You can read her reviews here and all of the other five star reviews on other sites ; they are all true. Our only regret is that we were unable to spend more time in the local area. If we had, we would have done some Gabby‘s other tours. We would loved to do her full day tour to the Craters of the Moon National Monument. You will be absolutely pleased – – if you’re visiting Twin Falls and Southern Idaho and want to see the local sights, don’t miss this opportunity!

Beyond my expectations - We loved learning about the history of Twin Falls and seeing parts of downtown and then being amazed when we visited The Snake River canyon and seeing two Falls and the 3rd largest Falls in the USA Shoshone Falls. Our tour guide taught us things we would have not learned about the town and the formation of the Gorge without her tour. Lovely morning and got some great photos
