Egyptian Museum - The Egyptian Museum is the world’s oldest museum solely dedicated to Egyptian culture. Its interior features Greek Orthodox-style icons and thirteen pillars representing Christ and the twelve apostles.

Church of St. Sergius and Bacchus - Also known as Abu Serga, this ancient church is built on the site where the Holy Family stayed during their escape. Located in the Complex of Religions in Old Cairo, within the Fortress of Babylon, the church’s design follows the basilica layout, comprising a porch, nave, and sanctuary, with an underground cave beneath the sanctuary. The church is notable for its unique architectural and artistic elements, including the pulpit, font, ivory and wood inlaid templons, and religious decorations of saints and apostles.

Bazar Khan El-Khalili - One of Cairo’s oldest markets, Khan el-Khalili is a bustling, colorful, and aromatic souk in the old city. Its labyrinthine streets are like open-air museums, making it the best place in town to buy souvenirs and replicas of Ancient Egyptian artifacts.

Geological surveys suggest it was carved from bedrock during Khafre’s reign, likely depicting his features. The museum’s highlight is a colossal limestone statue of Ramses II, lying on its back, allowing close inspection of its detailed carvings. Its twin once stood in Midan Ramses in Cairo until it was moved to the Grand Egyptian Museum construction site in 2006.
