Highlights

Berat & Gjirokaster

Berat - The meeting point at the hotel. Afterward, you will start the journey to Berat, which lasts 2 hours. First, you will visit Berat Castle, dating back to the 4th century BC. The castle is one of the largest inhabited castles and features many Byzantine churches, as well as some mosques built during the Ottoman era, which began in 1417. You will then learn a bit about the history of Berat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is over 2400 years old. It is considered the most attractive city in our country. Berat is an ancient town established by the Illyrians with a fortified castle known as the city of Antipatrea.

  1. Our next stop is in the old quarters of Mangalem and Gorica (old Berat), connected by the Gorica Bridge over the Osumi River. The bridge was originally built in the 18th century. It was first constructed in 1780 during the rule of Ahmet Kurt Pasha and later rebuilt with stones.

Gjirokaster - After visiting the City of Berat, you will continue your journey to the City of Gjirokaster.

  • During the journey to Gjirokaster, you will stop at Tepelene Cold Water for lunch with traditional food.
  • Hotel accommodation in Gjirokaster and a rest.
  • Afterward, visit the medieval Bazaar.
  • Next, you will visit the legendary Argjiro Castle.
  • Finally, you will visit one of the best-preserved traditional houses, the Zekate House.
Overnight in the City of Gjirokaster.

Butrint Sarande Ksamili & Vlore

Butrint National Park - After a traditional breakfast, you will continue your journey to Butrint (Saranda).

  • Visit Butrint (Ruins of this city date back to the 6th century BC), a UNESCO Site.
  1. Butrint is an extensive archaeological site (over 200 hectares) in southern Albania on the Straits of Corfu, with remains dating from the Bronze Age to the Ottoman era. It has particularly well-preserved features from the Roman and Byzantine periods, including beautiful mosaic floors, and its ‘Homeric setting’ has benefited from remarkably little modern development.

Saranda - Saranda (Sarandë in Albanian) is a coastal town and popular holiday destination on the Albanian Riviera, known for its unspoiled character and clear blue waters. It is located in the southernmost part of Albania, between the hills and the Ionian Sea. Saranda is only a 30-minute ferry ride away from the popular Greek island of Corfu and provides a strategic location from which to explore the Albanian Riviera. You can find gorgeous beaches and ancient heritage sites. You will have a drink or walk by the sea to take photos and enjoy the beauty of the Ionian Sea.

The Blue Eye - The “Blue Eye” (Albanian: Syri i Kaltër) is a water spring and natural phenomenon occurring near the village of Muzinë in the Finiq municipality, southern Albania. A popular tourist attraction, the clear blue water of the river can be seen from a depth of more than fifty meters.

Ksamil - After visiting the Blue Eye, we will visit another city on the Albanian Riviera. You will visit the Maldives of Europe, as Ksamil is called. Ksamil is a small beach town in South Albania, on a coastal strip with small islands surrounded by the clear waters of the Ionian Sea. Ksamil has been named one of the 10 most beautiful beaches in the world.

Vlore - Afterward, you will visit the City of Vlora. Vlora sits on a bay that marks the meeting of the Adriatic and Ionian seas, which means clean waters and brilliant beaches. With over 300 sunny days a year, it’s easy to see why it’s a popular beach resort. There, we will stop for a walk along the pedestrian route called Lungomare, the best one on the Albanian Coast. Afterward, you will return to your hotel in Tirana (2 hours).
