A must-do quality cooking course in small groups - This is a must-do activity in Hanoi. As a foodie, it’s one of the highlights of my Vietnam holiday. You learn so much about Vietnamese cooking, in a small group (so much better to learn more), cook with quality ingredients and make the most delicious meals.
The day started with a guided tour around the food markets. You get to try some of the local ingredients and learn so much about what they are used for. You even get to try some of them.
The cooking class is held in the most beautiful location with a private garden, where the herbs, fruits and vegetables are grown. You get to cook outside at your own cooking station beside a fire and it’s so much fun. Everything was amazing and it’s great value with return transfers included.

Excellent value of money, fun, Trang was so knowledgeable on her food knowledge - Hi Trang -we had a fantastic morning with you today- your trip is a lovely trip it was perfectly organised been collected by the cyclo from our hotel, meeting you and your other lovely guests Erin and Margot all at the market and buying all the ingredients we needed for our cooking- taxi back to your house and then showing us round your garden trying the fruits and plants you home grow ~ then the fantastic experience of cooking the food- with was fun and informative- you have so much knowledge of food- so much food we cooked and ate- it was delicious- we enjoyed everyone’s company and we were sad to leave you all - I hope your business continues to grow- you are lovely and deserve success.

An amazing experience. - I recently took a cooking class in Hanoi, and it was an amazing experience. The ingredients were fresh and quality, which really enhanced the dishes we prepared. The teacher was very pleasant, making learning both informative and fun. The atmosphere was warm, and I learned a lot about Vietnamese cuisine. I highly recommend this course to anyone visiting Hanoi!

An amazing cooking class - would highly recommend - This is the best cooking class we have done. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel which was wonderful. We started off going through the markets and learning about the ingredients used in Vietnamese cooking. We learnt so much from Trang and found the experience very insightful and enjoyable. The cooking class was incredible. We were all involved with all the dishes unlike other classes where you only have one role. The food was incredible and we really feel that we can try to replicate this at home. Trang had a passion for food and you can see this. Trang was amazing, we would highly recommend this to anyone looking to go on a cooking class.

Highly recommend - Amazing! It was such a great experience going to the market and cooking delicious food. Not only was my “celebrity chef” (because she is on her way to becoming one) Mango a great instructor and a lot of fun, the location was beautiful. A nice peaceful garden and outdoor space to do all the cooking was lovely.

Best cooking experience in Hanoi - Fantastic experience in Hanoi. We met Trang at the markets and then made our way to the cooking school - a hidden oasis. We made delicious local meals and enjoyed all together for lunch. Highly recommend.

Great cooking class, great people and the cutest dog ever! - We were greeted with smiles and enthusiasm by Trang as we were led into the outdoor market with all the sounds, smells and chaos...Then she opened a gate and we entered into some hidden countryside garden and it was so quiet and tranquil. WHAT? We were greeted by Lu (the little cute doggy) and taught to cook DELICIOUS Vietnamese food. We'll never forget this experiece. We are a family of 5 adults and we took the afternoon class. It was great. BOOK THIS EXPERIENCE!!!

Awesome Chef Mango - full of surprises! - Chef Mango was AMAZING! It is one of our family’s fondest memory of Hanoi visit. Mango was fun, energetic, knowledgeable and a great teacher. We felt proud of the feast we created with her. The setting was truly peaceful and organization was excellent. As it was Christmas Day, Mango and her friend had a gift giving game set up for us 🥰 We are super grateful for the special treats!!
Would definitely repeat and recommend The Chef Mango experience at Thom Culinary!💕

Cooking experience - What a fun activity to do in our last day in Hanoi.
Mango met a at our hotel and we walked through the market- while she explained so much about the fruits, vegetables and herbs.
Arrival to the Thom cooking school- an oasis. No horn honking, motorcycles, just us the nature and food!
Mango is so knowledgeable and personal. Would recommend this tour for anyone wanting to go the usual sights and experiences.

“A Culinary Journey Through the Heart of Hanoi” - If you’re looking for an authentic culinary experience amidst the hustle and bustle of Hanoi, this is it.
I had the pleasure of enjoying this adventure with my wife and two young children, and I truly cannot fault it. The day began with a charming cyclo ride to the market, where we were immersed in the vibrant sights and sounds of Hanoi’s food scene. Our guide walked us through the local markets, unveiling the heart of the city’s culinary culture. We tasted exotic fruits and local delicacies while exploring corners of the market that one might otherwise overlook when navigating Hanoi’s lively streets alone.
The highlight of the day came when we were whisked away by taxi to a serene cooking venue on the city’s outskirts. Surrounded by lush gardens and fresh produce, we had the chance to pick our own herbs and delve into the art of Vietnamese cooking, with a focus on Hanoi’s unique culinary traditions.
The experience was extraordinary. The dishes we prepared were even better. From start to finish, everything was flawlessly organised. Our guide was exceptional, and every detail was taken care of—from the moment we were picked up at our hotel to the time we were dropped off.
This was, without a doubt, our best day in Hanoi. Whether you’re a devoted foodie or simply curious, I can’t recommend this experience highly enough. Thank you for such a memorable day!
