Great family day out - We've lived in the north east for over 40 years and ashamed to say that we were not completely aware of the full history of the city, we have totally enjoyed a pub crawl interspersed with a history lesson and as an added bonus we ran into a Newcastle United player

Really great - What a top day out, our son just turned 12 and it kept him and us well occupied whilst exploring Newcastle for the first time. Lots of fun and some tricky clues. We really loved it so we’ll try it again on our next city break.

What a great way to explore the city I was brought up in. Really interesting places and a fun game. - What a great way to explore the city I was brought up in. Many places can only be reached by foot and the combination of a game to keep the young ones interested worked really well.

Fun way to get to know a new city - Learned a lot about a city we knew little about. The clues are challenging without being impossible and there were some snippets of local history that made it even more interesting. We’ve done the York one and would definitely recommend the hunts if you are visiting one of the cities on the list. There’s no time pressure so you can stop and start as you want to and rest at any time.

Great idea! - We only live just outside of Newcastle but I wanted to do something with the kids that wasn't just pottering around the shops or museums so I found the treasure hunt and we loved it - we totally failed at most of the clues without using the hints, but that didn't matter and we still enjoyed our time exploring the city and learning some unknown historical facts. It was the perfect length for the kids although I would have loved to have gone down some of the smaller streets and even further afield into lesser known areas - so maybe you could have two options for a longer and shorter version. Great though and thanks for the recommendations on food etc too.

Not suitable for non native speakers - Despite calling in advance and specifically enquiring about the enjoyability for non native speakers we were surprised to find that the experience was not a good match for 5 adults who all speak English for their profession on a daily basis. The tour is presented in pirate slang which does not translate well. We'd like to suggest to have a regular english language option next to the current option so that foreign tourist will be able to enjoy this tour too.
