If you love the TV Show VERA, you should join this tour if you have a chance. It's worth the trip. - I joined the half-day Vera tour TV locations. Really nice experience. The tourguide Josh was very good, he knows his stuff and tells lots of background stories about the TV show Vera and the set up is pleasant; they show you short video clips from the TV series and then stop at the specific spot where certain episodes are filmed. If you are a fan of the TV show Vera, I would highly recommend this tour. Als the driver was experienced and the bus was very comfortable. Coming from The Netherlands, especially for this tour, says it all I think. And it was worth the trip!

Vera tours are the best! - Wonderful half day tour with Amanda and full day tour with Fran! Visiting locations where Vera scenes were filmed after seeing video clips of the Vera episode were great! And we enjoyed all the local information that they both shared along the way! We would encourage all Vera fans to go on both tours! A big shoutout to the best coach driver, Jake, whose driving was safe and fantastic!

Brilliant trip - Brilliant trip despite the rain. Josh was a very informative guide and kept us interested. Adam was a brilliant driver, goodness knows how he got the bus around some of the corners. Scenery was beautiful on the coastal part of the tour. Playing clips of Vera on the bus TV was a great idea and gave context to the locations. Thoroughly recommend this trip for any Vera fan, thank you!

Great Vera Tour - Our guide Josh was fantastic. He is very knowledgeable about Newcastle and the surrounding areas. His sense of humour made the tour even more enjoyable. The driver Paul was great. The tour was overall amazing for Vera fans as it covers quite a few locations and Josh presented loads of interesting facts. My partner is not a huge Vera fan but he enjoyed the tour too as we passed by some picturesque locations and Josh told us trivia not only about Vera but also about Newcastle and the other areas we visited.

Great coverage of series sites - Good coverage of scenes in the Vera series, with video replays to jog our memories. Also served as a good intro to local Newcastle sites. The coach was also very comfortable.

Around town and beyond… - Perfect half day tour to see sights in Newcastle and along the coast. Josh was our guide who kept the tour lively and Adam was our driver who always remained steady on the wheel. Hop along to different “Vera” filming locations with either a quick snack (or walk) in Whitley Bay. Weather was up and down on our tour but a good introduction to the Newcastle/Northumberland area.

Interesting and informative - Vera tour of Newcastle - The tour guide, Amanda, really made it very interesting as she brought insight from having beena supporting artist on the actual show. She and the driver, Walter, managed to find a reasonable workaround when we unexpectedly encountered a road closure. As someone who was brought up in the North East, she also provided a lot of local information which I didn't know about.

Not worth the money paid - When you go on a tour, you expect it to be all about the series. With this, we went a bit further than Whitley bay before going back into central Newcastle. You see a few locations and that's it. We had 2 breaks about half hour each, which I thought was a waste of time in itself as that could be time to tell more information about the series or even show some other locations .....so around an hour just wasted. The tour doesn't need to be 4 hours as it's really not much. Then there's the talking about Newcastle itself, which doesn't really have any relevance to the series in my opinion, that was boring, I don't need to know about who designed and built buildings and bridges, irrelevant to the series despite it being filmed in and around Newcastle. To be honest I was bored. I'd say maximum 2/2 and a half hours for this tour is more than enough and it is definitely overpriced at £42 for what it is. I wouldn't go on it again.
