100% removable - Splendid tour. The guide, Rodrigo, friendly, knowledgeable about the history and culture of Michoacán, answered all our questions. Time passed like water but we were able to enjoy the archaeological zone of Tzin Tzun Tzan, Santa Clara del Cobre and Pátzcuaro, in this last stop, with a typical and very tasty meal (including the famous gelatin cakes). Very enjoyable and we hope to return soon to see more of that beautiful state.

Beautiful Magic Towns - There is nothing better to get to know Michoacán than visiting its magical towns. To enjoy this magnificent experience, there is nothing better than doing it with a professional. Rodrigo is the right person for this type of events. He is very attentive and seems to enjoy sharing his extensive knowledge about the culture and history of these towns and their people. Tzintzuntzan, Santa Clara and Pátzcuaro are a must-see when traveling to Morelia. Through Rodrigo we were able to learn, among many other things, about the greatness of another of the important ethnic groups in Mexico, the Purépechas, who never bowed to the Aztecs and that to this day preserves their identity and many of its customs. I definitely recommend this tour, my family and I had a really good time.

Great time in Michoacan - I already submitted a review on Viator for this tour, but it’s so great that I’m leaving a review here as well! On this tour, we learned a lot about history of Mexico and the state of Michoacan. It allowed us to see more of Michoacan, which would be rather complicated on our own. Rodrigo is a great guide and tour operator, all the places we visited were very worth it. It’s a private tour, which surprised us since there are some group tours in Mexico that would cost you much more than this PRIVATE tour where you get such a knowledge tour guide all to your self to ask any questions you want

The best experience! - My husband and I had the best time exploring the villages of Michoacan! Rodrigo is such a knowledgeable person! You can see that he loves his job, his state, and his country. We also ate at a restaurant owned by one of the people who presented Mexican food of Michoacan to UNESCO! Rodrigo knows all the right places, book his tour if you want to learn about Michoacan and experience it with a great local guide!

Great day trip! - The tour is a great mix of history, site seeing and shopping! Rodrigo was very knowledgeable and willing to share his love of the area. He was patient and took his time at each place as we had both English and Spanish speaking travelers. It was a great way to see the area around Morelia!

Magical journey of Magico Pueblas - My wife and I had the pleasure of embarking on the magical journey to Pátzcuaro, Santa Clara del Cobre, and Tzintzuntzan with Yei Travels and our incredible guide, Rodrigo. The experience exceeded all our expectations. From the picturesque landscapes to the rich cultural immersion, every moment was a delight. Rodrigo's in-depth knowledge and warm personality made the tour truly unforgettable. We explored the vibrant markets of Pátzcuaro, witnessed master craftsmen in Santa Clara del Cobre, and delved into the historical treasures of Tzintzuntzan. We couldn't have asked for a better way to experience the heart of Mexico. Thank you, Yei Travels and Rodrigo, for an incredible adventure!

The magic tour and history of the heart of Michoacan. - The tours of Tzintzuntzan, Santa Clara del Cobre and Patzquaro were magical! We booked this tour immediately following our walking tour of Morelia. Tzintzuntzan was our first stop and the one well worth it. Rodrigo provided detailed history of both the indigenous and Spanish colonial periods. The highlight was walk-around of Purhepecha pyramid ruins. This was once a spiritual, cultural and political center of the surprisingly large and vibrant Purhepecha empire spanning into the surrounding provinces. Views from the top of the pyramid base to the modern day Tzintzuntzan, the valley with lake and the mountains were spectacular! Our next stop was Santa Clara del Cobre the copper artisan capital of Michoacan. We had an opportunity to witness and try the traditional copper making techniques. Something very unique and special for this region. At the showroom there's a lot of copper artisan items waiting for their buyer. Last but not least the stop at historical Patzquaro revealed to us the traditional cuisine specific only to this town. Rodrigo made sure we stopped at the hidden gem restaurant that specializes in preparing the traditional dishes such as Corunda Rellena and Enchiladas with Mole sauce. The taste of Mezcal gave the experience even more authentic feel. Overall a great experience! We spent a wonderful day full of unique sights, tastes and smells. We met some interesting people of Michoacan. We traveled off the beaten path to places we wouldn't easily discover on our own. All of it professionally narrated by the guide who has his trade down to perfection. Rodrigo proved his vast knowledge of history of his home region. He also patiently answered our uneducated questions and provided advice, translation, transportation and refreshing drinks. We wholeheartedly recommend Rodrigo and his tour to anyone coming to discover the uniqueness and hidden beauty of central Michoacan!

Tzintzuntzan, Santa Clara del Cobre, and Patzcuaro Day tour from Morelia - Rodrigo is an amazing guide! Did I mention a wealth of information? Professional? Accommodating? We spent a week in Morellia and started our first tour with Rodrigo with a walking historic tour of Morelia which was exceptional! The next day we did El Rosario butterfly sanctuary - again exceptional and an aerobic workout to boot. We originally were meant to do the Patzcuaro and Janitizio tour and we opted out of walking up flights of stairs to the statue which I am sure is great to do Santa Clara del Cobre instead - gave us a break from hiking as we we did the Sierra Chincua butterfly sanctuary the next day - talk about accommodating! Our calves and thighs needed the break. The modified tour was as follows: The tour started at 0900 and we were picked up at the hotel. First stop was the archeological site of Tzintzuntzan, we walked the grounds as we learned about the history of the indigenous Purépecha Civilization, again intriguing. We took the scenic route to Santa Clara del Cobre via Lake Patzcuaro with some stellar views of the lake and islands. The stop at the traditional copper artisan workshop for the demonstration was remarkable. The artisan had been doing his craft for sixty years. You get a respect for the time and work it takes to complete each piece. Shopping opportunities. We then went and had an authentic lunch of local cuisine (Included in tour price except drink) which was such a great meal and so filling we didn't do the desert that was included or stop for any ice cream while walking the historic square in Patzcuaro! We found our way to the House of Eleven Patios (Casa de los Once Patios) where historically Nuns were cloistered. The bath house with hot and cold running water was amazing for the time. This also offered some really nice artisan shops to browse and purchase some items prior to returning to Morelia and capped of another wonderful tour and day with Rodrigo. He is the best! What great value on ALL of Rodrigo's tours.
