The Monkey Forest Sanctuary is actually owned and operated by the village of Padangtegal, with village members serving on a governing council that seeks to uphold the integrity of the grounds while promoting it as a tourist destination.

The Half-Day Ubud Village exploration, one of our premier tour packages, promises an exciting journey to Ubud’s prominent sites. We will meet you at your hotel and our first stop will be the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, which is populated by gray macaques and set amongst Hindu temples, jungle, and gorge. Following this, we bring you to the Puri Saren Ubud, the continuing residence of Ubud’s royal family.
We will then visit the Tegalalang Rice Terrace, one of Bali’s finest rice fields.
