The Sacred Monkey Forest is a well-known tourist destination in Ubud, attracting over 10,000 visitors each month.
Visitors can stroll through the Monkey Forest and enjoy its tranquil environment. The forest spans about a tenth of a square kilometer (approximately 27 acres) and features at least 115 different tree species. Within the Monkey Forest, you’ll find the Pura Dalem Agung Padangtegal temple, a “Holy Spring” bathing temple, and another temple used for cremation ceremonies.

- Gunung Kawi Sebatu Temple - Gunung Kawi Sebatu is a Hindu water temple dedicated to Vishnu, the deity associated with water. The temple is nestled in a dip in the land, surrounded on three sides by stone walls and on the fourth by a steep forested slope. The complex is built on a natural spring, which feeds a series of ponds and pools.

- Tirta Empul Temple - Tirta Empul is one of Indonesia’s busiest water temples and holds great significance for the Balinese Hindu community. The temple features several holy springs, believed to have been created by the God Indra, and the water is thought to purify those who bathe in it.
Dedicated to Vishnu, the Hindu God of water, Tirta Empul translates to “water gushing from the earth” in Balinese, which is why it is regarded as a holy spring. The temple includes shrines to Shiva, Vishnu, Brahma, as well as Indra and Mount Batur. It is one of the five most sacred temples in Bali and is considered one of the holiest water sources on the island. Other holy water temples in Bali include Pura Ulun Danu at Lake Beratan, Pura Tirta Tawar at Gianyar, Pura Tirta Harum at Bangli, Pura Tirta Taman Mumbul at Badung, and many more.
