This experience presents an exceptional opportunity to become a part of a local Balinese family as you participate in a traditional cooking lesson in our native plantation. The plantation is located in Tanggayuda village, northwest of Ubud. This is far more than a simple cooking course; it’s an invitation to become a member of our community. You’ll also discover the art of making offerings and assist us in tending to our pets on the farm. You’ll also get to explore a typical Balinese household and residence. During fruit-bearing seasons, we will gladly welcome you to harvest some of our fresh produce.
Schedule is as follows:
- At 08.00, the hotel pick-up is scheduled.
- At 09.00, you’ll visit a traditional local Balinese market.
- Between 09.45-10.30, there will be a tour of a standard Balinese residence, animal farm, plantation, and rice terraces.
- At 10.45-11.00 you’ll enjoy a welcome drink and a brief rest.
- From 11.10-12.30, the cooking lesson takes place.
- Lunch, afternoon tea or coffee, and a lesson on how to make a Balinese offering follow from 12.30-13.30.
- At 13.45, you’ll return back to the hotel.
