Awesome cooking class - This was such an amazing cooking class. Me and my wife loved everything about it. Our private driver was so nice and shared so much information about Bali and his village it was really cool to learn about. We made 8-9 dishes and they were all so good and fun to do, would definitely do it again.

Loved the cooking class and market tour. - Our family of three did the Cooking Class and had a great time. We learned so many recipes and got to samples so many different dishes. Might have enjoyed a bit more chopping and hands on, rather than putting ingredients in the pan and stirring. But no complaints. overall it was a, wonderful experience for us. Our teacher ketut was awesome as well. The market tour could’ve been a little bit more informative about all the different foods grown in the area, and it was a bit shocking to see the actuality of a local in rural Bali. We went with our 13-year-old son and he enjoyed it also.

Subak Balinese Cooking School Ubud - Excellent! We were picked up from our hotel and meet with guide/ cooking instructor at the local markets where we were given a short tour looking at and discussing all the different produce. A group of 6 of us . From there our driver took us to the cooking school premises where we joined 4 other visitors and cooked several different dishes after demonstrations and instructions each time. It was great and at the end we ate the meal we had prepared. A wonderfully interesting 5 hours by the time we were returned to our accomodation. I would highly recommend !!

Highly Recommend - Attended with my 17 year old son. Picked up from our accommodation by super friendly guide. Informative chat en route to the market about 25 minutes outside of Ubud. Nice little tour and off to the fascinating rice paddies before heading to the slick operation of the cooking class. I have done cooking classes throughout Asia and this more streamline version (half day) was really well operated. Very well taught, lighthearted and just the right amount of time. Recommend.

Great cooking experience - learn to cook Balinese food - We had an amazing time. Market visit was the start of the tour. The Chef of the cooking class Pottu met us at the market and she introduced us to the various produce. We proceeded from there to visit paddy fields and then to the cooking class. We all cooked different meals with lot of guidance from the Chef. A memorable day and was a lot of fun.

Best activity so far! - We came early to see the market by ourselves. It's very dirty, but the people are so nice! And once our guide came, she showed us around the market some more and explained a lot about the fruits you can buy there. We had a stop at the rice terrace, but only briefly, and she explained how they harvest the rice. It was quite interesting, but not nearly ad beautiful as the Tegalalang Rice Terraces that we already went to before with another tour. Felt more like a time filler, but we didn't mind. Once we were at the place where the cooking class took place, we were first thoroughly shocked by the living situation. One in the cooking class room however, we were glad to see that everything was orderly and clean. We had one teacher, who explained the meals we were cooking, how to make everything and who helped us step by step. There was also a team of assistants who made sure we always had clean utensils and who took over the steps in the cooking process that took longer to maximize the time we had scheduled for the class. We were able to taste everything during the process, and everyone had their own cooking station. In the end, they put all of our food together on a beautiful buffet and we sat down and ate together as a class. It was rhe best experience we had so far, it was a lot of fun, and we will definitely try and make the meals at home again. It's possible to get a PDF file afterwards, we have not yet received ours but this does not take aways from the fun we had doing this class.

Culinary delight - Great fun. Early start to go to the Local Market and Rice fields. Really interesting to explore and look at ingredients we would be using. Cooking class was really well prepared and extremely tasty! I have Coeliac disease but no problem with Gluten Free preparation. Definitely recommend.

If you love cooking, do this! - Visiting the market and learning about Balinese food and tradition was informative. I enjoyed seeing and tasting a variety of fruits and treats. The cooking class was my favorite part. We were able to make a lot of popular Balinese dishes that we ate for our lunch which was fun!
