The temple compound consists of a petirtaan or bathing structure, famous for its holy spring water, where Balinese Hindus go to for ritual purification. The temple pond has a spring which gives out fresh water regularly, which Balinese Hindus consider to be holy or amritha. In the Temple you can see how Balinese people doing a holy blessing.

• Tegalalang Rice Terrace - Fabulous scenes of the green rice paddies. Stroll through the famous rice fields. See how the farmers do their daily activities, and after the walk, dine in a small restaurant with wonderful views of the jungle and the Tegalalang valley.

• Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary - This unique and sacred place is a must see place in Ubud. There are many wild life inside the thick forest. Walk along the path under the shade and see many birds, lizards, butterflies and monkeys among the trees. It is a perfect set for the real wild life. There are 3 sacred temples to balance this area. Join our full-day Ubud excursions to experience some of Bali’s most spectacular tourist sites. Next, we’ll make our way to Tegalalang Rice Terrace. Situated north of Ubud village, you can take in the rolling views of the rice fields and partake in activities like the jungle swing. From there, we proceed to Pura Tirta Empul, a temple complex recognized for its sacred bathing structures, or Petirtaan, where Balinese Hindus engage in ritual purification at the holy spring. We’ll wrap up the tour with a visit to the stunning Tegenungan Waterfall.
