Beautiful Udaipur with Wonderful Doulat Kalra - My husband and I had the very good fortune to explore amazing Udaipur with Doulat Kalra, an absolutely wonderful guide, kind and caring gentleman, and now our friend. Doulat was born and raised in the incredible city of Udaipur and enthusiastically showed us beautiful sights and off-the-beaten path highlights of his magical home town. We enjoyed a great first day as planned. The second day I fell very ill and missed our planned itinerary. Doulat was genuinely concerned, extremely patient, and took my husband to the pharmacy ensuring I had my doctor prescribed medications. Only when Doulat and my husband knew I was stable and comfortable did the two of them embark on further exploration of this utterly amazing city. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his time zooming around the winding alleyways and streets, and visiting charming outdoor markets with Doulat. They really shared a great afternoon together. We both give Doulat a 5 star rating. If we could, we would add a sixth star! Furthermore, Doulat has stayed in touch with us which is so very appreciated. When you are planning a visit to Udaipur, be certain to contact Doulat. He will show you the beauty and magnificence of Udaipur so deeply rooted in his heart.

The Best City Tour we've done in India - The best city tour we've had in India. We went to really good local spots, avoiding the big touristy spots. Doulat was an excellent guide. Not pushy when it came to buying at shops, a big difference compared to other tours we've been. As we already visited City Palace ourselves, our tour was roughly as follows: - Old city - Havelis - Local markets - Cable Cart up to the temple - Boat ride - Gardens - Lake sights (Admissions to the sights were not included on the tour). Incredible Udaipur Tour with Doulat - Doulat was an incredible guide and so personable. He shared interesting facts about Udaipur and its history, while being incredibly sweet and caring to my entire family. He was accommodating to my baby brother. He brought my mom to see spices she was interested in and a tailor from whom my dad bought beautiful jackets. He also recommended new activities and accompanied us on a bike tour to the country that was the highlight of the trip. He was exceptional.

Doulat - the best guide possible in Udaipur! - Doulat was an amazing, friendly, knowledgeable guide for Udaipur — the BEST! He’s from this area and has so much personal knowledge of the best locations and so much pride in his home region. We liked him so much that we booked with him for a second day of touring. Day 1 - Tuk tuk tour of Udaipur, the local vegetable and fruit market (where we bought high quality pomegranate and mandarin oranges) and the spice market (where we bought intense ginger, garlic, ciñámonos, curry, and saffron spices. Day 2 - wonderful motorbike tour through the beautiful countryside passing fields, goat herding, and up to the beautiful Tiger Lake and Bahubali Hill. This was our favourite day so far in our trip through Rajasthan! Could not recommend Doulat more!!

Highlight of my trip - I had a great time with Doulat. He took me in the more regional areas of Udaipur which was very unique. He spoke great English and had a great sense of humour. Doulat also took me to some amazing temples and wonderful mountains near Udaipur city. He has been doing this for a long time and really knows the best areas to go with great information about his town. I highly recommend him to anyone wanting to see the real side of Udaipur.

Doulat, a perfect taxi driver ! - We met Doulat first time in 2017 while he drove us on his tuktuk visiting Udaipur. He was very friendly and we appreciated very much his save driving. We kept in touch for 7 years and this time he drove us with his new and very clean car in the surroundings of Udaipur. He still drives very safely, he speaks very good english, and also french, and he is still a so pleasant and helpful guy ! We highly recommend Doulat !
