Mr. sachin contacted us well in advance, gave us the necessary details about the tour and driver details and tour guide. Covered the city palace, Jagdish mandir , Bagore ki haveli and boat ride at lake pichola too All in all, very well done. thank you to the team. Highly recommended.

Good Trip - You have to take entry ticket of 50 rs person to enter the city palace premises. While going boat departs in every 1 hour. Then for Jagmandir excursion 600 rs person ticket if going in 1st half of the day or until 3 pm. In the After 4 pm ticket charges rs 800. Boat gives a round trip of lake and takes to Jagmandir where you have restaurant and nice garden. Yes the ticket price is on the higher side but they have maintained it well and you get nice views and pictures. Better carry your own water. Within premises, softy rs 100 and if you want to eat pav bhaji rs 150. Stay and com back by boat which is in every 15 mins

Great views - The trip is well organised, and the views are amazing. Definitely worth going - the place on the island is beautiful, the boat ride very pleasant. After coming back to the shore you have another palace to see (grounds only).

Amazing! Absolutely a must! - You get the boat rides and tickets from the premises of the city palace itself. For an adult the cost is 500 and kids are 300. The boat takes around 15 minutes to reach jagmandir and has life jackets on the seats for your safety. You can view many ghats, city palace, lake palace, amarvillas and Leela palace during the ride. Rides are operational till 5 pm and you can take them in an interval of 30 minutes. The whole process was conducted very smoothly.
Once inside the jagmandir, there is only one restaurant serving food with indoor and outdoor seating. The food was good, the potion size decent and the ambiance superb! You can stroll on the premises and gardens and enjoy the view. It was neat and clean and well maintained. For the return, boats are available from the gardens of the jagmandir.

Over priced tour IMO - I was asked to write a review by the tour operator. I went for the option of a half day tour around Udaipur. The spots we visited were beautiful. The tour operator very kindly agreed to add 2 extra spots which weren’t included on the original itinerary which I did appreciate. However, I have to be honest and say it wasn’t worth the money I spent on it. It was the priciest of all my tours in Rajasthan but the least enjoyable and the shortest. My main issue was that there was no car provided which I assumed when booking the tour, considering the price. I did go back and read the tour description and they don’t explicitly mention a car, just private transport which turned out to be tuk tuks & golf carts at times. This was a misunderstanding and to be fair driving a car in Udaipur’s old city does not seem to be the most sensible option. However I wouldn’t have booked this tour had I known there was not going to be a car just to clarify for anyone who may assume the same before booking.
The tour guide himself was nice enough and told me a bit about the places we visited. I had an upset tummy and he waited patiently for me as I was running about 20 minutes late in the morning. But overall, I’ve had much better experiences with other guides. When we got to the City Palace, he immediately directed me to the shops at the entrance, barely any information about the palace itself. I’m assuming this was because he would get a commission from anything I bought and don’t me wrong, I’m very used to this tour guide trick in India but to do it right at the start before I’d even had a chance to look at the palace left a bad taste in my mouth. My other issue is that I felt a bit rushed looking inside the palace. I often just wandered around on my own, moving away from him, taking photos and reading the information as a lot of the time, he would just try and move me quickly through the rooms. As I am travelling alone, previous guides have been very generous offering to take photos of me however this guide offered to take a very minimal number (maybe 2 or 3 during the whole 5 hour tour). I asked him to take photos of me in places I really wanted to but I was apprehensive asking him as he didn’t offer this himself. I’m not someone who takes a lot of photos of themselves at all but I would have expected him to at least offer as has been my experience with other tour guides.
I think I would have had a better experience if I had just gone myself and taken the time I needed to appreciate the beauty of the palace,
As I mentioned, they added 2 extra stops on the tour but I was told by the guide that one of the options on the original itinerary; Bagore ki haveli wasn’t worth visiting and wasn’t really given an option of going. By then I was very tired and the heat was getting to me so I didn’t challenge this. To be honest I was happy to visit myself without him where I could take my own time but I felt I was pushed into a corner and wasn’t given an option of going despite this being on the initial itinerary.
This tour might be suitable for you if you’re in a hurry and are not bothered about not having an car but otherwise I can’t whole heartedly recommend this tour if you want to see the beautiful sites of Udaipur.
