Queen Elizabeth National Park - At 7:00am, our guide will pick you up from Kampala to start your journey to the renowned Queen Elizabeth National Park. Spanning approximately 1978 km², the park offers a stunning view of the rift valley floor that encompasses Lake Edward and George. Known for its high biodiversity, the park is home to around 95 mammal species and 612 bird species. NB: On your way to Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will stop at the equator in Masaka town. Here, two cement circles mark the equator line, making it a great spot for a photo if you’re traveling to Masaka or Kampala. You can also watch a demonstration by local entrepreneurs showing how water swirls in opposite directions in the northern and southern hemispheres at the equator line. The equator stop is also great for shopping, with several craft shops and art galleries selling souvenirs and handmade products, some marked with equator-related themes. You might even buy a T-shirt that says ‘I crossed the Uganda Equator.’
