Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Kibale National Park - Begin the day with an early breakfast at the hotel or your residence. Your tour guide/driver will pick you up for a brief safari introduction before heading to the Western part of Uganda, towards Kibale National Park. Enjoy a stopover in Fort Portal for lunch, followed by a visit to the tea plantations or Toro crater lakes. Continue to the park and check in at your chosen lodge. Consider a nature walk in the forest that evening to observe various wildlife species. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay as you prepare for chimp trekking the following day.
Chimp Trekking & Bigodi Wetland Walk
Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary - After breakfast, your driver will take you to the park information center for a briefing with other guests on the dos and don’ts of chimp trekking. Then, embark on an unforgettable journey to find chimpanzees in the forest, which may take 2 to 6 hours depending on their location. Along the way, you’ll also encounter various birds, monkeys such as the black and white colobus, grey-cheeked mangabey, golden monkeys, and diverse tree species.
After this incredible experience with the chimpanzees, return to the lodge for lunch. Later, your guide/driver will take you to Bigodi Wetland for a swamp walk, where you’ll see more primates like red-tailed monkeys, baboons, bush pigs, L’Hoest’s monkeys, otters, and bird species like the great blue turaco.
Back To Kampala
Kampala - Enjoy breakfast at the lodge as you conclude this remarkable 3-day safari. After breakfast, begin the journey back to Kampala with a packed lunch from the lodge. You will arrive in Kampala in the evening.
