Murchison Falls National Park
Murchison Falls National Park - Start your day with an early breakfast at your hotel before embarking on a journey to Uganda’s most stunning protected area: Murchison Falls National Park. Located approximately 300 kilometers north of Kampala, the route takes you through the renowned Luwero triangle, with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and lunch at Kabalega Dinners. Enter the park via the Kichombanyobo gate and visit the breathtaking falls, where the mighty Nile is forced into a seven-meter crevice, cascading 45 meters below. Dinner and overnight stay.
Game Drive, Boat Cruise, and Hiking
Murchison Falls National Park - After an early breakfast, drive to the ferry and cross the Nile to the park’s northern sector. Begin your game drive towards the Delta area, seeking wildlife such as the Rothschild Giraffe, elephants, Jackson’s Hartebeest, lions, warthogs, kobs, jackals, oribis, waterbucks, patas monkeys, and leopards. Various savannah woodland birds can also be spotted. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. At 2:00 PM, embark on a boat cruise on the Nile for close-up game viewing as animals come to cool off by the river. Expect to see hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, and numerous water birds. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Drive to Kibale National Park
Kibale National Park - After breakfast, transfer to Kibale National Park, passing through traditional homesteads and the tea plantations of Fort Portal (Kabarore). Enjoy an en-route lunch, arriving in the evening to check in at Kibale Primate Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Chimpanzee Tracking
Kibale National Park - After breakfast, head to the UWA Offices for registration and briefing before starting your trek in one of East Africa’s oldest forests, with trees reaching up to 50 meters. The trek may take about three hours in search of habituated chimpanzees. The forest is also home to five other primate species, including the Black and White Colobus, Red Colobus, Red-tailed, L’Hoest’s Monkeys, and Grey-cheeked Mangabey, as well as various bird species, including the rare Green-breasted Pitta. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation, followed by a nature walk in the rewarding Bigodi Wetland. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Queen Elizabeth National Park - After breakfast, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, driving through the Crater Lakes region and southwards along the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountain Ranges, which form the boundary between Uganda and Congo. Enjoy an en-route lunch at Kasese. Enter the park with a mini game drive, arriving in the afternoon to check in at the Bush Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Queen Elizabeth National Park - Start the day early with a cup of coffee before embarking on a game drive towards the Kasenyi plains in search of wildlife such as elephants, waterbucks, kobs, buffaloes, giant forest hogs, bushbucks, hyenas, lions, and leopards, as well as a variety of bird species. This park boasts the highest concentration of bird species of any park in the world, with about 612 recorded species. Return to the lodge for breakfast and relaxation, followed by lunch. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel for a different perspective of wildlife as they come to cool off in the water. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Drive to Ishasha (Queen Elizabeth NP)
Game Drive and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - After breakfast, enjoy another game drive in the southern circuit in search of elephants, buffaloes, kobs, and topis. In the open savannah, you might spot a leopard. Continue to the northern circuit to see the famous tree-climbing lions, particularly in the fig trees. Later, transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, passing through the Ishasha sector where tree-climbing lions can be seen. Arrive in Bwindi in the evening and check in at Gorilla Resort for dinner and overnight stay.
Gorilla Trekking and Community Walk
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - After breakfast, head to the UWA Offices for registration and briefing before starting the highlight of your safari: Gorilla Trekking. The hike can be strenuous, with muddy conditions, hilly terrain, and occasional rain. The trek can take between 2 to 8 hours, depending on food availability. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Drive to Lake Bunyonyi
Kabale - After a relaxed breakfast, check out and drive to Lake Bunyonyi, arriving in the afternoon to check in at Bunyonyi Overland Camp. Enjoy lunch and some relaxation before taking an afternoon boat cruise on the lake. Visit some of the lake’s islands to see water birds, traditional dancers, and pygmies. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Drive to Lake Mburo National Park
Lake Mburo National Park - After a relaxed breakfast, check out and drive to Lake Mburo National Park, arriving in the afternoon to check in at Bunyonyi Overland Camp. Enjoy lunch and some relaxation before taking an afternoon boat cruise on the lake. Visit some of the lake’s islands to see water birds, traditional dancers, and pygmies. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Nature Walk and Transfer Back to Kampala or Airport
Entebbe - Start the day early with a nature walk along the shores of Lake Mburo in search of wildlife such as zebras, impalas, reedbucks, cliff springers, buffaloes, and leopards, as well as various bird species, including the Papyrus Gonolek. Return to the lodge for breakfast before transferring to Kampala, arriving in the afternoon to check in at Forest Cottages or head to the airport, depending on your flight schedule.
