Flight from Istanbul to Cappadocia - Guided Cappadocia Tour - Overnight at Cappadocia

Istanbul - Your journey begins with a transfer from your hotel to the airport. Our driver will meet you at your hotel reception (or your Airbnb address if parking is available) and take you to the airport for your flight to Cappadocia. Pick-up is between 3:30 AM and 4:30 AM, depending on your flight schedule. We will confirm the exact time once your domestic flight tickets are booked.

Cappadocia - Upon arrival at Cappadocia airport, you will be greeted by your driver and taken to your hotel, approximately an hour away. The driver will be waiting at the airport’s arrival terminal exit gate, holding a sign with your name.

Keslik Monastery - We will pick you up from your hotel around 9:30 AM - 10:00 AM to visit the southern part of Cappadocia. Keslik Monastery is a vast cave complex featuring two churches, a large refectory hall, a sacred spring, and numerous cave rooms, all set in a beautiful garden. This site has evolved over 2,000 years, serving as a gravesite in pre-Christian Roman times, a communal monastery during the Byzantine era, and now a tourist attraction.

Taşkınpaşa Medresesi - Built during the Karamanogullari Principality, the exact construction date of Taskinpasa Madrasah is unknown but estimated to be in the 13th century. The complex includes a mosque, a madrasa, and tombs in the mosque’s courtyard. Note: The madrasah is currently under restoration by the Culture and Tourism Ministry, so you will only be able to view and photograph the exterior.

Sobesos Ancient City - Discovered accidentally in 2002, Sobesos Ancient City reveals Cappadocia’s history through a 3-year archaeological excavation. The site features colorful stone motifs and intricate floor mosaics with geometric patterns.

Goreme - Enjoy lunch at a Turkish Kebab Restaurant in Goreme, with vegetarian options available.

Kaymakli Underground City - One of Cappadocia’s major underground cities, Kaymakli has 8 floors, though not all are open to tourists. The first floor is designated for animals, with corridors connecting churches and living spaces. The city includes warehouses, kitchens, cemeteries, a mughouse, and a copper workshop, with many hidden tunnels yet to be fully explored.

Pigeon Valley - Located in Uchisar town, Pigeon Valley offers one of the best panoramic views of the region and features numerous pigeon houses built by ancient inhabitants. You can also visit a popular onyx stone factory nearby.

Cappadocia - After the tour, you will be dropped back at your hotel in Cappadocia.

Cappadocia Balloon Tours - Hot Air Balloon Ride (INCLUDED): Experience a unique adventure in Cappadocia! We will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the balloon site to watch the balloon preparation. The flight at sunrise will reach altitudes of 700 to 1000 meters, offering stunning views of Cappadocia. The pilot may also fly as low as 1 meter above rock formations for perfect photo opportunities. The total activity lasts about 3 hours, with the flight itself lasting around 60 minutes. A champagne celebration and a medal presentation will follow the flight. You will then be returned to your hotel.

Urgup - We will pick you up from your hotel around 9:30 AM - 10:00 AM for the Red Tour of Cappadocia. Visit the famous fairy chimneys known as the Three Beauties, the official symbol of Urgup and Cappadocia.

Goreme Open-Air Museum - Explore the monastery with rock-cut churches, kitchens, wineries, storages, and living rooms from Anatolian Christians. The Goreme Open Air Museum is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Ortahisar Panorama - Dominated by a 90-meter-high rock-castle, Ortahisar is an extraordinary example of the region’s rock-cut architecture, serving as a refuge during Byzantine times. Enjoy a panoramic view of this unique town.

Uchisar Castle - Uchisar rock castle is a major landmark in Cappadocia, offering beautiful views of the surrounding valley. Due to walking difficulties and safety risks, you will only have a panoramic view of the castle and the region.

Avanos Oren Yeri - Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Avanos, with vegetarian options available. Avanos is known for its charming old town with cobbled streets and views over the Kizilirmak (Red River). The town is famous for its earthenware pottery, a tradition dating back to the Hittites, using clay from the red silt of the Kizilirmak.

Devrent Valley - Also known as Imagination Valley, this area features many red-colored, animal-shaped rocks, with camel shapes being the most common.

Fairy Chimneys - Cappadocia is renowned for its unique landforms, particularly the Fairy Chimneys. This tour will showcase many examples of these formations, highlighting the interaction between nature and human life. Note: There will be no stop at the Fairy Chimneys during the tour.

Cappadocia - After the tour, you will be dropped back at your hotel in Cappadocia.

Flight Back to Istanbul

Cappadocia - You will be transferred to Cappadocia airport for your flight back to Istanbul.

Istanbul - Upon arrival in Istanbul, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The return flight can be scheduled for the morning or afternoon. Please inform us of your preferred timing when booking the tour. If no preference is given, we will book your return flight at any time of the day.

By booking this special package, you’ll be able to save on some must-see Cappadocia experiences. Noteworthy places during the guided tours include the Goreme Open-Air Museum, the Devrent Valley, Avanos, the Derinkuyu Underground City, and the Ihlara Valley. We also provide pick-up and drop-off services from your hotel within Cappadocia towns/cities.

• The prices of package are valid for accommodation at the double or triple room. If you would like add accommodation on single room(s) to your booking, there could be supplement cost. There are not going to be any extra cost for bookings of single / solo travelers. They will already accommodate at single room(s).
• The pre-planned hotels are “Sedirli Konak Hotel” - “1811 Cave Boutique Hotel” for your accommodation on this travel package. You can choose one of them during reservation. If these hotels (which you preferred) are not available for standard/superior rooms on your travel dates, local tour operator can replace it with an equivalent hotel. IMPORTANT NOTE (SUGGESTION) 1811 Cave Hotel is a historical building and it doesn’t have AC in rooms because of that. If you travel in July-August, we highly suggest you make booking to option of Classic Package.
• The check-in time of the hotels is 02.00pm, and you can not start use your room before this time. This is about the check-in & check-out policies of the hotels.
• The differences between the package options are about the hotel categories. Tour(s), airport transfer(s) and flight ticket levels will be same for all options.
• Local tour operator will send e-tickets of your domestic flights at three days before your departure date. You will not need the print out copies of the tickets for domestic flights. Your passport, and reservation number on the tickets will be enough for get your boarding cards from the desks of airline companies.
• Local tour operator can request your some passport details for the bookings of your flight tickets. If you do not share the details which requested by local tour operator, your domestic flight tickets can not bookable.
• You will have 15kg luggage + 8kg hand bag quota per person for each domestic flight. If you will need more luggage capacity, please inform that to local tour operator. There could be some extra fee for luggage quotas more than 15kg. This is exactly about the policies of airline companies.
• If your return hotel is different than pick-up hotel, please inform that detail immediately. If you inform that detail after organised your flight tickets, local tour operator can request extra cost because of the distances between the airports and some hotels. If you inform this type changes on service day (last day of your trip), local tour operator do not accept this last minute amending and drop you to your pick-up hotel.
• If your pick-up / drop-off hotels are inside of airports (IST and SAW airports) local tour operator do not provide any hotel pick-up / drop-off service.
• Hot air ballooning is a fully weather-dependent activity and the Civil Aviation Authority determines whether the flight will be held. If your flight is cancelled due to inclement weather conditions, you are entitled to a partial refund. In such a case, your refund will be processed by the day after of that trip.
• The Standard Balloon Ride has an One-hour approximately flight duration with 20 to 28 people capacity basket. The flight duration could be 50-55 minutes or 65-70 minutes. This situation depend the weather conditions before landing, and pilots are decide to that within the safety rules of Civil Aviation Authority. Total activity duration is approximately 3 hours.
• If you do not use any service or give up join to activities / tours / airport transfers, that’s meaning is going to be last minute cancellation. Because of that, there is not going to be any refund for that.
• Vegetarian option is available, please advise at time of booking if required.
• Please advise any specific dietary requirements at time of booking.
• This tour is not available for the bookings to children who are 5 years old and under.
