Established in 1957 on the western bank of the Desna River, near Kyiv, is the Zalissia Hunting Reserve.

This richly natural location was often chosen by USSR leaders and visiting foreign dignitaries as a place of retreat. Several communist leaders including Leonid Brezhnev, Nikita Khrushchev and Fidel Castro, plus subsequent modern Ukrainian state officials have hunted here. However, until 2014, ordinary citizens found it near impossible to gain entry into the preserve.

Considerable changes have since taken place and now all are welcome to visit Zalissia. Don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity!
