Once in Lifetime Experience- if you like Adventure this is a Must-Do, and especially with Tusker Trails! - I did the Mongolia Trek the 1st 2 weeks of July 2023 with 4 other friends and have to say this was an experience almost beyond words. I have had the fortunate of being on two other Tusker Treks previously, Kilimanjaro and Patagonia, that were equally amazing. It was on the Patagonia trip where I was able to connect with another Tusker Trekker who had been to Mongolia and said, "if you ever get the chance to do that trip, you absolutely must do it. There is no other trip like it!" And he was right! Tusker trips are always phenomenally well-run with absolutely terrific guides, great equipment, fantastic food, and itineraries that are challenging yet accessible and always focused on client safety. The people that serve as guides and support the trek are some of the most friendly, generous, and kind folks that I have ever met, and by the end of the trip they are your friends. An interesting aspect of this trip is the opportunity to almost cover the entire distance on horseback, and even if you are not coming into the trip with much horse-riding experience, by the end of the trip you will be amazed and how much you have learned in a short-period of time. The scenery is fantastic, likely the most unspoiled place that I have ever been, and you keep being awed knowing that you are in one of the most remote places you can travel to. If all of that isn't enough, oh by way, the owner of Tusker Trails Eddie Frank personally leads this trip! If you want adventure stories, he's got 'em. And he goes above and beyond to learn the unique interests of the group that he is leading and finds creative and meaningful ways to make the trip extra special. This is the longest trip review I have ever written, I could go on and on, though hopefully this is enough to demonstrate how meaningful and amazing the Tusker Trails Mongolia Nomad Trip really is!

The best adventure trip ever! - I recently sent this unsolicited email to Eddie Frank the CEO of Tusker and the actual leader of a fabulous adventure in Mongolia the summer of 2022. He suggested I post this review of the trip. Hi Eddie, I hope life is treating you well! I recently returned from a 3 week great trip to Rapa Nui, the Atacama desert, and Bolivia. While there, I found myself reminiscing about my Mongolian adventure with Tusker in 2022. And I realized that I often compare whatever I am experiencing on my travels with my trip to Mongolia. And Mongolia always wins. It was my best trip ever and I am an extensive lifelong traveler. I want to thank you again! John

Amazing Mongolia Adventure - Like my previous three adventures with Tusker Trail, this Mongolia Trek is another memorable one.  This one started with an unexpected challenge.  After overnighting in Ulgii, we were supposed to drive to the first campsite to meet up with Eddie and the crew.  Unfortunately a chunk of ice broke the bridge that connects Ulgii to the campsite. The logistics of dismantling the camp site, getting all the supplies, herds of horses and camels to a new camp site and plan out a new route were no easy task.  Kudos to Eddie’s experience and ingenuity, he and his crew had everything in place and the group met up with them the next day to start the amazing journey. The journey through the Altai Mountains was filled with beautiful scenery, and we got to experience traditional Mongolian culture by visiting an eagle-hunter family and a family living in a traditional Ger. Thanks to riding lessons from Eddie and a horseman leading my horse, I got to experience horseback riding in Mongolia. With safety and well-being a top priority for the crew and trekkers, knowledge and experience to deal with unexpected challenges and well planned out itineraries, I look forward to the next adventure with Tusker.

Go to Mongolia with Tusker - You will forever be happy you did! - Mongolia with Eddie is not simply a trek, or a ride on horseback: it is an immersion. After decades of milk tea and kindnesses you are supported by Tusker and Kazakh together, like family. They invite you in under unbelievably blue skies. You’ll see that it’s not ownership but land stewardship that helps the magical to exist around the nomads in Mongolia. For me, it was an honor to share this most beautiful expansive land with the most beautiful creatures. And maybe at the end of your journey, you’ll feel like I did, never more free.

Father daughter adventure - This adventure tour was spectacular, and I would highly recommend it and Tuskers to anyone. Mongolia is almost the size of Alaska, but it was like horse back riding in a land time forgot. With amazing views of picturesque Valleys and landscapes that stretch on forever. Scenic Glacier covered mountain peaks and clear blue rushing streams. The views at Mirror Lake is in itself a highlight of the entire trip. We saw herds of Yaks, Sheep, Horses and Some camels. But we also glimpsed the Mongolian culture and history. A Friendly people who lead a Happy simple life, living off the land, but took us into their Ger (home) and shared their life and food willingly. A world where children spend their summers learning about life and making small handy crafts as their ancestors did. Tuskers set a high standard of professionalism, curtesy and safety. All of which the entire team excelled too. You quickly become more of a Family then a tour group. Of all the adventure tours I have taken this is by far the best. In a land time forgot. On a 5 star rating I would give this one a 6 stars. DON'T MISS A CHANCE TO TAKE THIS TOUR
