The park covers an area of over 50,000 hectares and is home to a variety of wildlife, including the endangered Mongolian wild horse, also known as the takhi or Przewalski’s horse.

In addition to the takhi, Hustai National Park is also home to many other animal species, including red deer, marmots, wolves, and foxes. The park is a popular destination for birdwatching, with over 220 species of birds recorded in the area.
