Gobi Desert - This morning, the drive will take you to Yol Valley (Vulture Canyon). The valley boasts a stunning deep canyon with numerous rocky cliffs, formed over many years by water erosion. Upon arrival, a 2-hour hike through the canyon will reveal remnants of a glacier from the winter months. The Natural History Museum, showcasing dinosaur eggs and bones, petrified trees, and a snow leopard, can be visited on the way in or out of the park.

Journey to Khongor Sand Dunes

Gobi Desert - The drive to the Khongor sand dunes takes between 3 and 4 hours, passing through expansive desert badlands that stretch to the horizon, where distant mountains can be seen. Lone gers and nomads on camel-back appear suspended in mirages, while the desert floor is scattered with colorful rocks and unique minerals.

Journey to Baga Gazriin Chuluu Rocky Formations

Baga Gazriin Chuluu (Small Rock Formation) - This morning, the visit will be to the remarkable granitic formations of Baga Gazriin Chuluu, the “stone of the little place,” located northwest of Dundgovi province. The rock features inscriptions by two revered monks from the 19th century. The ruins of a 17th-century temple will also be visited. A deep, narrow hole with stagnating rainwater is believed to treat ocular illnesses, and a small ladle on the rock allows visitors to wash their eyes with the sacred water.

Terelj National Park

Gorkhi-Terelj National Park - Today, the journey will take you to Terelj National Park, famous for its stunning landscapes that combine rugged mountains, towering granite cliffs, lush forests, and serene rivers. Upon arrival, the Aryabal Buddhist meditation temple, perched high above the park, will be visited.

From the temple’s vantage point, you can enjoy the breathtaking, tranquil views of the surrounding natural beauty. It’s an ideal spot to reflect and appreciate the serenity of this remarkable place.

Chinggis Khan Equestrian Statue Complex

Genghis Khan Statue Complex - This morning, after breakfast, the drive will take you to the Chinggis Khan Equestrian Statue Complex, built in 2008 to commemorate the eight-hundredth anniversary of the Mongolian Empire’s foundation in honor of its founder, Chinggis Khan.

This enormous stainless steel statue weighs 250 tons and stands 40 meters (131 feet) high, making it the tallest statue of a man on horseback in the world.
