Flight to Ulgii, Bayan Ulgii
Olgiy - Take a flight to Ulgii City in Bayan-Ulgii province, Western Mongolia, which lasts about 3 hours. This province is predominantly inhabited by Kazakhs, who have their own distinct culture and language. At the airport, you will be welcomed by your English-speaking guide, driver, and expedition cook. Before lunch, you will explore Ulgii town, visiting the local museum, open-air market, and mosque. After lunch, we will drive to Tavan Bogd (Holy Five Peaks) National Park in the Tsagaan Gol Valley. The entire journey will take approximately 7 hours, with an overnight stay in a tent camp along the way.

Hike 16 km to Altai Tavan Bogd Basecamp
Altai Tavan Bogd National Park - Today, we will hike for 6 hours to reach the base camp of Tavan Bogd. Our luggage will be transported by camels, managed by the friendly and helpful local people. The base camp is situated at an elevation of 3000 meters. From our campsite, we can also visit the Potanina glacier.
Climbing to Malchin Peak
Altai Tavan Bogd National Park - After breakfast, we will begin with a slow walk for about an hour before starting our climb to Malchin Peak (4050 meters), located on the Mongolian side of the Russian border. Malchin Peak is the lowest of the Holy Five Peaks and falls under the 3rd category of climbing complexity. It takes 6 to 7 hours to reach the summit. Most of the climb involves navigating rocks. Afterward, we will return to camp to relax.
Hike to Oigor river valley
Altai Tavan Bogd National Park - Today, we will hike back to the Oigor River valley to meet the drivers. (Tent/B/L/D)
Return to Ulgii
Olgiy - We will drive for 7 hours back to Ulgii. Along the way, we will visit Kazakh Eagle Hunters. Spend the night in your ger camp or hotel.
Return Flight to Ulaanbaatar
Ulaanbaatar - This morning, we will catch the return flight to Ulaanbaatar. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Enjoy a free afternoon for shopping.
