Highlight of our trip to the Red Centre - We drove ourselves to the base and met our guide, Thomas, who was incredibly patient as he taught the group "how not to fall off". My only criticism was that I did🤣but that was totally my fault! And didn't Thomas get mileage out of that! Thomas was informative, comedic but culturally sensitive at the right time. The tour was at a leisurely pace, which enabled lots of stops for photos at appropriate places. Do yourself a favour! Lots of fun but also a great way to circumnavigate the base.

Best way to see Uluru! - It wasn’t far to drive out to Uluru and the tour started with training in how to use the Segway which we had never done before. Our 12 year old nailed it straight away and also our 15 year old. It was be highlight of our trip and absolutely worth the cost. It was so hot (41 degrees) the day we did the tour and the kids loved the experience, there was no complaining and because they weren’t exhausted from walking and being hot they took in all the information & stories from our knowledgeable guide Charlie. She was really friendly and helpful throughout.

Incredible - My Hubby and I absolutely loved this tour. Kind staff who were patient with teaching you to ride, which was picked up quite easily. I am uncoordinated and found it really easy after a while and was given as much time on the training track as I needed. Our guide Brandon was super relaxed and easy going bringing a calm presence as well as super knowledgeable about the rock. Plenty of opportunities to stop and take photos. An absolutely wonderful and exhilarating way to experience Uluru and all its glory. 15/10 recommend.

Most enjoyable way to see, feel and learn about Uluṟu and it’s significance. - Our group of 7 friends had the best fun exploring Uluṟu via Segway around the base track! We would highly recommend this activity to others. Our initial training with Brent & Dan was excellent. They were both super friendly & helpful. Dan, our tour guide was knowledgeable and respectfully shared Aṉangu Tjukuṟpa creation stories with us. It was easy to see Dan’s respect for the Aṉangu people and their culture.

Must do! - A fantastic way to travel the 10km Uluṟu base track. We drove from our accommodation at Yulara to meet our guides at one of the Rock car parks (took about 20 minutes). We were given some initial training on the Segways first which was very helpful. We are both in our late 50’s and it didn’t take long at all to feel comfortable on the Segways, so we could start enjoying the spectacular scenery. We stopped at least 5 times along the way for commentary, questions and breaks. Our guides were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. 10/10!

A “Must Do” when at Uluru - This is a great experience - our guide was Daniel and the stories he told us on the tour were great - highly recommended. We did the morning tour (starting at 7.15am) and it is a great time to go around Uluru before it gets too hot.

Really fun & great way to go around the rock - This is a really great way to see the base of the rock which is nearly 11km around. Save that walk for the kata tjuta Valley of the winds circuit walk. Our instructor & guide, Emma, was a great teacher of the use of the device & knowledgeable of the rock & the area. It really was so much fun we considered going again at a different time of day but we ran out of time. There are a lot of spots you can’t photograph along the way due to cultural significance for the local indigenous people. Emma explains this along the way. It was a good opportunity to select the areas we wanted to go back to & explore more. A word of warning, don’t believe the booking guy at the tour desk as to what constitutes the best time to do the tour. He was clearly trying to fill the early morning spot, but it was so cold & windy it nearly ruined the experience for me even though I was rugged up & wearing a beanie. Gloves would have been good. Use your common sense, if it’s cold & windy do a tour later in the afternoon. The early morning tour would only be good in the middle of summer when it’s really hot. When we were there the sun only came up at 6.53am so a meet up time of 7.20 was still very cold, shady & windy for a lot of the ride.
