Atlantis Aquaventure - Overall, it was a very good experience, but I want to highlight two things that were really disappointing. The changing rooms are chaos! They cannot fit the number of people going in and out when the park closes and opens. The price of the ticket, add-ons, food is overpriced. Everything is a rip off!!! We paid 88aed for a packet of crisps and a sprite. It s insane!!!! It wouldnt cost 5aed in a supermarket. It's a park for families, kids, young people. They cannot charge food over 10 times more than what the food costs. I'm very very disappointed..

Massive rip-off - Went here on a monday at the end of October, I have never felt more ripped off in my life. The cost for 4 tickets (including a 6 year old who is over 1.2m tall so is classed as an adult and charged accordingly) was approx £300. The cost for lunch for a 9 piece of chicken meal from one of the food kiosks near the changing rooms was over £60, yes you read that right. And the chicken was just cheap frozen chicken pieces poured straight into the deep fat frier, not good quality at all. The queues took 15-20 mins to order your food too and then the same again for it to actually be made, and then they got people's orders wrong. I heard a number of people talking about what a ripoff the place was and I completely agree. So what did we get for our £300? Well, we managed to get on 4 of the larger rides but after hour long queues for all of them we gave up on trying any more. People will say buy an express pass but not everyone wants to pay in excess of £500 for a waterpark and there were also queues at the express lines too (albeit a little shorter, but not much) so that wouldn't have been worth it. The screens that display the waiting times were consistently wrong and always massively underestimated the waiting times, for example the queue for the leap of faith was supposed to be 40 mins but it took 90 mins. We had a much better time in the hotel swimming pool and would never ever go to a waterpark in dubai again

Not worth the money - I visited here with my boyfriend in August. We only purchased tickets for the Aquaventure water park. Positives: There are a range of different slides to go which vary in intensity. There are singular, double and group slides to go on and the slides are really fun. The lazy river has rapids and waves which are good fun. The park provides socks for you to wear to stop you slipping and to protect your feet from the hot floors. The lifeguards were also really friendly and helpful. There are lots of sunbeds to sit on with shade. However, they do start to fill up quickly so make sure to arrive early. The park opened at 10am. We arrived 40 minutes early at 9:20am and a queue had already formed. They are lots of choices of food and drink inside of the water park. Negatives: Everything is extremely over priced. It cost us £70 each just to get in the water park. The slides were good but not worth this amount of money. One of the main negatives is not being allowed to bring your own water into the park. It was around £3.50 for one bottle of water which we had to continue to purchase throughout the day as in August in Dubai, temperatures reach above 40 degrees. When you are walking around and queuing all day for hours in 40 degree heat, it is exhausting and impossible without water. We felt extremely ill throughout the day. I think that you should be allowed to bring water or be provided with cold water in this climate. Most hotels provide cold water and other activities which we did in Dubai for half of the price provided us with endless bottles of water such as the desert safari. The park claim that they provide water stations but the water is boiling hot and disgusting. When we asked for a cup of ice to try and cool the water down we were told no. We then payed for a meal deal combo each in advance. This cost us around £20 each. You got a meal with fries and a drink. The food was okay but for a few scrappy pieces of chicken and chips, it is not worth £20 each. We then discovered that it was actually cheaper to just buy the food on the day rather than in advance with your ticket. We also payed for one small locker between the two of us in advance which cost the equivalent of £12. This was non refundable. The locker was tiny and we could barely fit anything in it. We also had to pay for towels. Due to it being our last day and leaving on the night, we could not use towels from our hotel so we had to pay for towels in there. It was the equivalent of £7 for one towel which was again non refundable. The park was over sold and the queues were absolutely huge for all of the slides. We were there from opening to close and we only managed to get on 6 slides once and the lazy river throughout the whole day. The wait time could be over an hour for a slide that you are on for 30 seconds. When you have paid £70 each to get into the park, this is not worth the money. It was also an extra £45 per person to purchase fast passes which is ridiculous. Overall, would not return to this water park. The slides are good but I have visited far better water parks with better facilities and better slides for a fraction of the price. This water park is over hyped, over priced and not worth the money. I felt as though everything was a huge cost even though you have already paid so much money just to get into the park. We ended up spending hundreds of pounds just to get on a few slides. It’s such a shame as we enjoyed every activity we did in Dubai and find the service in Dubai to be excellent everywhere you go. However, this was a huge let down.

Very expensive with minimum chances to go in the big rides without a fast access tickets - Please don’t waste your time and money to go to this rip off overpriced and overrated attraction. We will spend the most of the times stay in the queues for a least 45-50 minutes for the most of the rides. If your kids are over 1.20m you will pay full price for them. I spent all the day and I only managed to do 3 rides . They let to many people to get in and they sale some fast access tickets as well. People stay hours in the queue and they let all this people with the fast access tickets to skip the queue and the people in the normal queue have no chance to go in the rides. The rides are fun but the pain waiting to go in them is not worth it. I paid about 300£ for a family of 4 , 2 adults and 2 kids 10 years older and to be honest this was the biggest mistake. Please do something else with your money. They should have different prices for all this big rides and let all the small kids to enjoy the small water splash parks for smaller price. But everything I saw around here is it a rip off . Please don’t tell me I didn’t warn you.

Too crowded, an expensive waste of time. - I'll start by saying that your experience here really depends on how busy the place is on the day. We came here back in 2014 and had a great time. Short lines, went on every slide and floated around the lazy river at our leisure. There were no "fast track" passes or scales at each slide then which meant things moved quite quickly and fairly. This time it was the opposite. We bought tickets from a booth at the monorail station which saved us queueing to buy a ticket at the park. Still, the line to get in was quite long. Once in we had to queue again to pay for a towel and locker. After this we then had to work our way through the crowd to get to a locker room to get changed and store our bag. There were people sitting in the doorways of the changerooms making access almost impossible and there were no staff there to clear it out. Random women were wandering around the male change rooms and there was barely any room provided to get changed if the place was quiet, much less when it is crowded. After this we went out to ride on some slides. We waited over an hour in line for the first slide only to be told our combined weight was too much and we'd have to go on the slide with a random stranger or go upstairs to the slide with the large 4 person rings. Why weigh people at the top after they have queued for over an hour? So, we went up the stairs only to be told by staff we had to go back to the bottom of the stairs. We explained we'd been told by another staff member to come up there so he reluctantly ushered us to the back of the queue for that slide. Another 40 plus minutes of waiting and we finally went on our first slide. 2 and a half hours after entering the park. In the end we managed to go on 3 slides in total, in 7 hours. It would have been 2 if not for the help of one of the staff there who helped us and a woman and her 3 kids out by arranging us in a way we all could enjoy the slide and get around the idiotic weight system. Even then it was 2 hours of waiting to get on that slide. The last slide we went on said it had an 8 minute wait, it was more like 80. For a 20 second ride! Getting changed at the end was a nightmare as the park was closing. We were glad to get out of there after a miserable day that was a waste of time and money. The fast track passes basically meant regular paying visitors stood around watching as the people with fast track passes walked by. The fast track passes almost cost as much as the entrance fee again and there seemed to be way too many sold which meant most people were left frustrated and annoyed. Sadly, you don't know how busy the place will be until you get there and by then its too late as you have already paid the extortionate entrance fee. I guess the owners don't care as they get your money regardless of whether you actually got any value for it.

Dangerous place , no secure attractions - Terrible , this is my last time coming to this park , I’ve been here couple of times but the quality has decreased significantly, plus the fact that I got stuck in one of the attractions and the lifeguard had to take me out and they even joked about it , it is not funny at all , since you can lose your life for such a thing. The water warm after paying 17 AED FOR A BOTTLE OF WATER , no ice 🧊 at all … plus a list of many other things .. definitely not recommended.
