As a former professional athlete, I’ve always been drawn to the thrill of the unknown, the rush of adrenaline that comes with pushing boundaries. So when I heard about the Falconry Safari in the heart of the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, I knew it was an adventure I couldn’t resist. With the falconry session complete, we had the option to explore further. Opting for a drive through the desert, we were treated to a landscape that seemed to stretch into infinity. Hendrik and Cesar shared stories of the desert’s history and its inhabitants, pointing out the Arabian Oryx and Sand Gazelle that roamed the reserve.

The desert was alive with secrets, each dune a whisper of the past. As we paused to take in the view, I felt a sense of peace, a connection to the vastness of the world around me. It was a reminder of why I chose this path, the pursuit of adventure and the stories that come with it.

As the tour came to an end, our guides went above and beyond, offering to take us to the camel racing track and suggesting other attractions to explore in Dubai. Their passion for the desert and its wonders was infectious, and I left with a newfound appreciation for this ancient land.
