Culloden Battlefield - Our next destination is the profoundly moving site of the final Jacobite Rising, the last and most intense pitched battle fought on British soil between Scotland and England. Discover the interactive visitor center, examine intriguing artifacts from both sides of the conflict, and relive the battle in our immersive surround cinema. On April 16, 1746, the final Jacobite Rising reached a violent climax. Jacobite supporters, aiming to restore the Stuart monarchy to the British thrones, assembled to confront the Duke of Cumberland’s government forces. It was the last pitched battle on British soil, and in under an hour, approximately 1,500 men were killed, with over 1,000 being Jacobites.

Clava Cairns - Clava Cairns is a remarkably preserved Bronze Age cemetery complex featuring passage graves, ring cairns, kerb cairns, and standing stones in a picturesque setting. Known as the Prehistoric Burial Cairns of Bulnuaran of Clava, this group of three Bronze Age cairns is located near Inverness. A site of immense historical significance, Clava Cairns is an outstanding example of Highland Scotland’s ancient history, dating back around 4,000 years.
