A Fantastic Family Adventure - A fantastic family adventure. The guide was very informative and made us feel well looked after. Everything was provided for us, so we could just turn up and enjoy the experience. It was exciting at times and also very relaxing, as we had plenty of time to float down the river enjoying the ancient forest scenery between the rapids. Also, a great bonding experience as we had to take instruction and work as a team, I felt the teenagers got a lot out of it. We are looking forward to doing it again.

No need to go to Rotorua when we have this in the Hutt! - Absolutely Epic trip - lucky enough to get a day when the river was up from a heap of rain which meant we got down the river faster than normal but still got a good 3 hours on the water. The scenery was incredible and Hamish was a great guide. Would rate this trip higher than the Kaituna river for the scenery, duration and the amount of rapids you got to experience over the 10.5km trip.

Fun, exciting and toasty warm rafting the Hutt river in late autumn - I have just spent an exhilarating morning with my 11 year old son and his friend rafting the Hutt river with Wellington Rafting. Prior to departure I was expecting it to be a fun but chilly experience in late Autumn. But we were given thick fleeces to wear under our wetsuits which, combined with the exertion of paddling, kept me toasty the whole way. I stayed warm even after I had been in the river a few times. Rafting down the river, thick, native, untouched bush on both sides of a steep canyon, I felt like I was a million miles away from everything. Beautiful scenery, fun, exciting, rafting, and Hamish our tour guide was awesome, All of that just 30 minutes from Wellington. Highly recommend.

Great experience not far from Wellington City! - We did the Grade 3 whitewater rafting trip which was very well organised, exciting and fun. We were provided with all the gear we needed and appropriate briefing etc. The route is just north of Upper Hutt and is stunning with plenty of exciting rapids and the staff made sure we had a great day out. Would highly recommend.

Awesome ride! - Awesome experience, would strongly recommend! You get about 3 hours on the water, with fun rapids the whole way down. Furthermore, the guides take the time to talk about the river, the forest and the wildlife you see in between the rapids. A great vibe throughout - Hamish and his team are the GOATs!

Wicked rapids on the Awa! - Awesome time on the Awa with our work social club. Wicked rapids (thanks to rain and snow on the Tararuas), scenery and informative guides. Exceeded all expectations!

Great Rafting, Great Team, Great Fun - Took my family on the whitewater tour on the Hutt River and we loved it! We were lucky to have the highest commercially viable flow in the river and it was awesome: the rapids were super fun (especially the naming ;)) and the scenery is just stunning. Big shout out to Hamish and the crew for having put up this operation from scratch: they are an extremely knowledgeable bunch and made sure everyone felt safe at all times. I would definitely recommend this as a team building activity. Also, rock jump in the river: highly recommended!
