Hervey Bay Whale Watch offers 2 Half Day Whale Watching tours on our purpose-built catamaran ‘Quick Cat II,’ designed specifically to enhance your whale watching experience. The vessel was designed and built right here in Hervey Bay and features 5 viewing decks on 3 different levels to ensure uncrowded and unobstructed views. The vessel has various vantage points from right on the waterline to the third-story rooftop viewing platform where you feel on top of the world.

Run don't walk to watch whales on the quick cat - This was our second go on quick cat II in 12 months, same crew as our last go, just as enthusiastic, helpful and friendly. We had a blast and the crew were so knowledgeable about whale behaviours, patterns and facts and share that in a very friendly manner. Absolutely loved our time aboard and can't wait to go again!

Excellent experience - Great day trip left on time with breakie provided. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Lucky to see lots of whales up close and personal with a few people braving the freezing water to swim with the whales which looked awesome. I opted for the lunch at Kingfisher was a chilled way to end the day and got the 2pm barge back to Hervey Bay. Definitely recommend

A Magical Tour - This tour was exceptional, the staff were all lovely and their service was outstanding. The tour didn’t disappoint with multiple whale sightings during the day. Lunch at Kingfisher was a bonus as it’s one of our fav places. Thanks for a wonderful trip we all loved it.

Terrific day’s outing. - Absolutely amazing experience. Staff were brilliant. Thoroughly looked after. Staff went above and beyond for Coeliac member of group. Inclusions for food were better than expected. Terrific outing and so very lucky - lucky enough to see sooo many whales. Thank you to all staff.

One of the best encounters ever! - Amazing trip. The whales were unbelievably close to the boat and we had loads of encounters. The crew were friendly and happy. I love the fact it is a family business from way back. The information was good. Not over the top. One of the best things I have done. This should be on everyone's bucket list.

Great close up views - Having had 2 days of travel and three days of rain this tour made our visit to Hervey bay worthwhile. Wonderful close up views of the whales, staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. My daughter thought this was the best day of the holiday and we have climbed Sidney harbour bridge and snorkeled on the GBR! All done with the greatest of respect to these beautiful intelligent creatures.
