Cusco - Km 82 - Hatunchaca - Ayapata

Inca Trail - Pick up from your hotel in Cusco is at 4:30 am and drive to KM. 82. After a delicious breakfast, you will head straight to the checkpoint to begin the trek. The first part it’s a relatively easy 2-hour hike to Patallacta; the first Inca site along the trail.

From a unique, secluded location we will enjoy the breathtaking views. It’s then another 2-hour walk to Hatunchaca – where lunch will be waiting. We will walk for another two hours to the first campsite located in Ayapata, your tent, a snack, and a hot drink will be waiting for you.

An honest review, on a brilliant experience - A brilliant time with friends, and a brilliant group of fellow trekkers from Mexico, Brazil, Germany and Australia - treks were well planned and everyone well supported, having experienced other treks with overnight camping. food and accommodation was on par, often surprised with the amazing food chefs create. Jose and Jon’s knowledge on historic sites, the Incas and surrounding areas was astounding, creating an experience of walking in the Incas footsteps to Machu Picchu. On a final note, the pictures and memories we took from this trip will live forever - thank Jose, Jon and the Trexperience team

TreXperience is great and José is amazing - José and Yhon were fantastic guides!! Their knowledge of the trail and the sites along the way made the trip a delight. While the hiking was strenuous, the accommodations from the TreXperience porters and the food from chefs made the journey enjoyable.

Classic Inca Trail (3 nights and 4 days) - Views were amazing, experience was fantastic and our Jose’ and Yhon were excellent guides. Jose’ knowledge of the history and heritage of Machu Picchu was amazing. Yhon was so patient and helpful with all of us it was a blast!

Great experience with TreXperience - The trip was very well organized and run with Jose as our main guide and Yhon as the assistant guide. They were also friendly and knowledgeable. There was ample amounts of excellent food. It goes without saying that the views and ancient sites were amazing, but TreXperience made it an adventure of a lifetime!

Can’t recommend this tour enough!! - This tour way exceeded my expectations. Our tour guide Vicente is so knowledgable about the various Inca sites and very funny. He is very insightful and answers all questions. Sharon is a great help and wakes you up in the morning with a lovely cup of hot coca tea. What a way to start the day! The porters are the backbone of the trip as they carry everything you need like food, tents and any other equipment you can think of. The food is of restaurant standard, with various Peruvian dishes. Can’t recommend this tour enough!!

6 stars!! Hard work but would definitely recommend! - What an unforgettable trip! We didn’t really know what to expect, and it surpassed any and all ideas or expectations. Our guides Vicente and Sharon were so warm, knowledgeable, and fun. The porters worked tirelessly to make our experience an incredible one - the food, the camping, the views - all possible because of their hard work in carrying everything to and from the different sites. Breathtaking views from start to finish. Would highly recommend - and if you can request a tour guide, Vicente and Sharon really were fantastic!

Amazing, great food, challenging trek, amazing views! - What an amazing 4 days spents with some lovely people from different parts of the world. Our tour guides Vicente and Sharon were very educational and definately know how to let loose and have fun! The porters and chefs worked so hard throughout the trip to ensure we enjoyed every minute of our trek. Hiking through the Inca trail felt surreal. The food made on site by the chef well exceed our expectations, with 3-4 courses for lunches and dinners, and allowed us to experience some authentic Peruvian cuisine! The hiking was more challenging than expected, but we'll worth the amazing site we got to see! 5/5 would recommend!!

Such a beautiful trek - Amazing trek with Vincent and Sharon. The views were beautiful and we learned a lot about the Inca along the way. The crew always made sure we were confortable in the camp and we had really good food. The only mini downside as a solo traveler was that I was only with couples, which I didn’t expect as the tour was sold to me to be fit for solo traveler. In the end it didn’t matter because everyone was really nice but it could be bothering for some people or depending of the couples. Vincent and Sharon also made sure we could enjoy Machu Picchu the most, which was amazing. Thank you so much for this experience !

Amazing experience - I cannot recommend the Inca 4 day trail with Trexperience enough. The trip was so well organised from the very beginning. Our tour guides Vicente and Sharon were amazing - both informative and fun. The porters were amazing, food was fantastic and the sleep was much more comfortable than I had expected. A 10/10 experience from start to finish.
