Discover Machu Picchu with Jacob - It was a fantastic ride.
Thanks to AB Expeditions.
I wanted to climb Machu Picchu on foot.
I was a little stressed but thanks to our guide Jacob who advised me well, I was able to reach my destination without problem in 1 hour from the hotel.
The tour of the site was wonderful thanks to Jacob's explanations that allowed us to enrich ourselves with the Inca culture and immortalize these moments with exceptional photos.

A must do in Peru - It was an amazing experience. Everything was well organised without any unwanted surprises. Before departure we had a little bit of an orientation / briefing which was very helpful. The food was really good and accommodation provided near Machu Picchu was also nice. Our guide Jacob put a lot of effort into making it a great experience - he was also great with taking photos with a mirrorless camera, which is not a common skill anymore ;). With a shared group of just 5 people we were able to slowly appreciate this short version of an Inca Trail. The hiking pace was just right and the cultural / historic commentary was spot on. I would definitely recommend.

We did the sacred valley tour then the 2 day Inca trail + Machu Picchu with Jacob as our tour guide, and he was very knowledgeable and friendly, and really helpful during the hike - he is also a great photographer! The views were amazing, food was great, would definitely recommend. The sacred valley tour was also great - visited a textile place, salt mine, and other sites that were great.

A great combo of Inca trail and Machu Picchu - If you want to do more than just visit the site itself in Machu Picchu but don’t want to do the full 4-day hike I absolutely recommend doing this 2-day tour with AB Expeditions. You get a taste of the Inca trail on the first day, with approximately 15km hike through beautiful landscape. Our guide, Alberto, did a great job keeping the group of 5 at a pace comfortable for all. He also handled the bilingual group (mainly Spanish and me speaking English) well.
The amazing picnic lunch these guys set up for us far superseded the box lunch we saw others having. A table with a view full of lovely dishes and fresh fruits!
The views over Machu Picchu from the Sun Gate and the Guard house were awesome!
On the second day we visited Machu Picchu and Alberto guided us expertly through the citadel, bringing the city to life with his stories.

Thank you Jacob! - I had the pleasure of having Jacob as our tour guide for a two-day hike, and I can’t recommend him enough! From start to finish, he was incredibly informative, attentive, and passionate about sharing his knowledge. Jacob made sure to keep us engaged with the rich history of Machu Picchu, explaining its significance and fascinating details that we would have otherwise missed.
He went above and beyond by capturing amazing photos and videos of us throughout the hike, making sure we had plenty of memories to look back on. On top of that, he introduced us to some fantastic local food that we wouldn't have known to try on our own—each meal was a delightful experience. His warmth, energy, and professionalism made the trip unforgettable. We felt like we were in great hands the entire time, and his love for the region really shone through. If you're looking for a knowledgeable and caring guide for your adventure, Jacob is the one to go with!

2 day Inca Trail - My husband and I did the 2 day hike for the inca trail with Bernie from Cusco to Macha Picchu. To begin the hike we were picked up straight from our hotel and were taken to start our journey. We were provided with breakfast that was composed of cheese, bread, fruit, tea and coffee. We got to experience the local transportation by taking the local bus to the train station. From there we arrived at the start of the trail. The first half contained lots of climbs, hills and stairs. Bernie was amazing through out. He let me take my time and encouraged me the whole way and also told us the history behind everything. We passed a few historical sites and his knowledge was impressive, he answered our questions and really made the inca history come to life.
We were provided lunch at the half way point that was delish! We had rice, mango, chicken, bread and even cake for dessert! We then did the 2nd half which was much easier and we took our time to be able to enjoy everything. Once we arrived, Bernie gaves us a full photo shoot of Machu Pichu, taking pictures, reels etc. This was an amazing touch to help us remember. We got back to town and were taken to a hotel which was amazing and included breakast. We also were taken to a local restaurant for dinner.
The next day we went to Machu Picchu and got to see it from ground level with Bernie for 2 hrs. Once again impressed with this knowledge of the site and how he took us around everything.
Overall, this was an amazing experience highly recommend. 5 out of 5!
