Highlights
- Golden Gate Bridge - Departing from our dock, we’ll journey south through the Richardson Bay Channel, passing the renowned Sausalito floating homes, the California Taj Mahal, and downtown Sausalito. Our destination is the Golden Gate Bridge, perfect for capturing stunning photos.
- San Francisco - After the Golden Gate Bridge, we’ll set course for San Francisco, sailing by the notorious Alcatraz Island for an up-close view of the “Rock.” We’ll cruise along the San Francisco Waterfront, offering fantastic photo opportunities with the city skyline, including landmarks like the Trans-America Pyramid and Coit Tower.
- San Francisco Bay Bridge - If time permits, we may extend our voyage to include the Bay Bridge, sailing past Alcatraz on one side and the San Francisco waterfront and piers on the other.
- Angel Island State Park - We’ll pass by Angel Island and Tiburon as we make our way back to Sausalito and ultimately return to our home dock.
- Sausalito - As we head back to our dock, we’ll sail past downtown Sausalito and its famous floating homes, concluding a wonderful day on the bay!

This is an Interactive Sailing Experience on San Francisco Bay with a maximum 6 passengers on a private yacht with a USCG licensed captain and crew where you’ll sail beneath the Golden Gate Bridge, across the San Francisco waterfront, get a close-up look at Alcatraz and Angel Islands.
This Sailing Experience is “interactive” which means we want you to get the full experience of sailing so you’ll have an opportunity to take the wheel and sail your course.. It’s all part of an unforgettable sailing experience you wont get anywhere else..
You will see and be able to photograph beautiful scenery and may also experience a close encounter with some of the local wildlife that calls the bay home.
Sailing SF Bay Experiences are aimed at creating lifelong memories for you while showcasing the beauty and diversity of our area.
- This is an interactive sailing experience for 2 hours on San Francisco Bay
- We recommend bringing comfortable sneakers or tennis shoes, a warm waterproof jacket and sunscreen

Bucket list experience - Getting to sail the boat was really fun! Will was fantastic and an excellent skipper. Our family had a wonderful adventure. Great birthday experience!

Great sailing experience for first timers! - It was a fun interactive sailing experience where we learned a lot and even got to learn the nuances of sailing hands on. Will was a funny and knowledgeable captain. The boat was perfect for a party of four. Highly recommended for a beautiful day on the water!

A great sailing experience! - Will (the skipper) was a great host who told engaging stories. We had an absolute blast sailing around the Bay. We ended up having the boat to ourselves as we were the only guests onboard and both of us ended up learning a lot about sailing and having fun at the same time! Highly recommend.

Exactly what I wanted from a SF Bay sailboat cruise! - I wanted to avoid going into SF to board the sailboat. Will has his slip in Saulsilito which was perfect for avoiding the GG bridge. When he took us out I was afraid he was going to just use the engine because the winds seemed "light". As we moved out of the inlet the breeze quickened and he put up the headsail and away we went!
It was a perfect sail on a beautiful day. Will answered every question and was great with stories about the area and what we were seeing. We saw lots of dophins, seagulls, and seals. Will is very funny and easy to get along with.
I would highly recommend this cruise to anyone who wants to see the SF Bay, from the Golden Gate Bridge to SF skyline. Thanks again Will for a beautiful cruise on your boat.

Birthday Sailing Experience - This sailing experience was a birthday gift to me, and I can't think of a better way to spend a birthday. The weather was perfect, and Will made sure this was a memorable experience. I was at the helm most of the time, and you get a real appreciation for what sailing on the bay is like. It takes some skill and practice, and I really appreciate how eager Will is to teach and share this with others. All in all, a really great birthday experience.

Amazing SF Views and Dolphin Sightings - May 10yr old son and I had an incredible time enjoying the views from the Golden Gate and Bay Bridge in San Francisco. The highlight was definitely when he spotted dolphins jumping out of the water. It was such a relaxing and memorable way to take in the beauty of San Francisco Bay. Highly recommend this experience!
Captain Will made us feel safe and comfortable sailing at our pace.

Fun Times aboard the Kindred Spirit - Captain Will make sure we had an excellent time. He was friendly and had lots of stories to tell us. He stressed safety so that we didn’t take a swim in the bay and he was an awesome instructor teaching us how to pilot the boat on a somewhat windy day. We went in the afternoon, which ended up being pretty awesome because we got a combination of super sunny on the Sausalito side and pretty cloudy vistas covering San Francisco. It was incredible, deceived the pelicans flyby the saltwater spray hitting our faces and the giant tankers all adding to the majesty of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Fantastic sailing - We had a fantastic time out on the bay. I enjoy being part of a sailing experience and that's exactly what we got.
If you're looking for a tour of the bay don't go here. You'll be at the helm most of the time, and with a good wind you'll be tired at the of the trip.
