Extremely educational! - Sandy is incredibly knowledgeable. She delicately wove factual research into modern day depictions of the religion infused with humor. Would highly recommend this tour, especially for those interested in learning about religion and culture.

Sandy aka best tour guide around - Cannot say enough wonderful things about this tour. Incredibly educational while being entertaining. Sandy was super super knowledgeable and interacted well with the whole group. Not only learned about voodoo, but more about the origins of the religion within different culture groups, New Orleans architecture, and so much more. You can tell sandy takes this seriously and is obviously very well read, while still having some jokes to throw in. She’s wonderful and I promise you’ll have a great time with her!! It’s a light walk with some opportunities to sit in the beginning. Great highlights around the area and super informative!

We love Robi and Sandy! - We actually ended up booking 2 Voodoo tours in 1 day and it turned out to be a well-rounded experience. Our tour with Priest Robi was first and was the adults only 'full immersion' - HIGHLY recommend. He does an incredible job at explaining what Voodoo and similar religions mean to him and the people who practice and also BREAKING DOWN all of the stereotypical ideas that most of us have. Robi has to be one of the most joyful and positive people I've ever met. Spoiler Alert: Voodoo isn't scary! It's just a slightly different religion that was forced to be hidden and practiced secretly bc it wasn't Christianity and it wasn't white folks doing it. I'm so glad I booked this tour because it didn't just show me that we've got Voodoo all wrong, but that it's brimming with love and hope and kindness. This tour may be uncomfortable for some people who are more conservative, but if you can just hang on to your beliefs and just listen with an open mind, you will learn a lot, no matter who you are.

A great time - Sandy made this tour extremely enjoyable. We had a heat advisory for temperatures up to 115, she continuously checked in with us to see if we needed a break or anything. Sandy was very knowledgeable and patient with my large group of family and friends.

If you do one thing in NOLA, do this tour with High Priest Robi. - I had the phenomenal pleasure of getting to do the 10AM Vodou tour with High Priest Robi. Robi does an amazing job of setting the history and making you feel comfortable, before inviting you in to experience just a small amount of his beautiful and historic religion. A proud historian and childhood practitoner of Vodou, as well as an initiated Priest, - Robi is the most informative and respectful way to learn about this religion. I laughed, I cried, and I learned. If you do only one thing in NOLA, do this

Sandy is AMAZING!! - Sandy was AMAZING!!!! She is so knowledgeable and fluent with the ideas, language and feeling of Voodoo and explains the diverse regions brought to New Orleans in such a respectful and inspiring way. My husband and I took our four kids ages 19, 16, 14 and 8. It was extremely hot. My 19 year old loved it. And my other two teens appreciated the info but were a little hung up on the heat. My 8 year old stayed pretty engaged (but hard for him) I hope he will retain a vibe about Voodoo that Sandy so expertly described to us. Huge respect to her for doing this in the brutal heat and for her thoughtfulness with the subject. It was excellent!!!!
