- Pancho Villa State Park - After the guided tour, visitors are welcome to explore Pancho Villa State Park and Museum. This site was once the U.S. Camp Furlong army base during the raid.
Enjoy this state-funded, air-conditioned museum, where park rangers and “Friends of the Park” are available to answer any questions.
The museum showcases a life-size replica of the Jenny Aeroplane used in the pursuit of Pancho Villa. Visitors can also enjoy a drive or walk through the campgrounds, which are filled with historic buildings and remnants of the past.

America’s first 9/11 occurred at approximately 4:12 a.m. on March 9th, 1916, when over 600 “Villaistas” attacked Columbus Army’s Camp. The raid resulted in the deaths of 8 soldiers, 10 civilians, and more than 200 Villaistas.
