Pure Family Fun - What a ride! At first we were supposed to go kayaking because the river was too low to raft on. All that changed with the 2 straight days of rain and we had one of the best rides you could ask for. Several category 4 rapids with amazing direction from our guide, Dan. The enthusiasm of the staff and guide can’t be ignored. They were all spectacular. If it’s ever raining on your planned day to raft, DONT CANCEL THE TRIP. The rain made it even more fun.

GO! 1st time at 54 and LOVED it!! - My brother booked this trip for he and his wife, 10yo daughter, and my husband and me. Or was my first time so I was a little leery but excited at the same time. We did a class 4 and it was perfect for a first trip. It was so much fun!! The people that work there are the best. They are the most friendly, fun, and lovely bunch of people. The gift shop has water shoes and towels if you forget to bring one and lots of other items , too at a reasonable price. The pictures they take are awesome and worth the price. Patrick was our guide and he is a hoot! He keeps you laughing and has lots or knowledge about the area that he shares during the trip down the river. You might not get as wet if you laugh at his jokes!! None of us fell out or lost anything. You will be soaked by the time you return but I was surprised that I wasn’t cold. I usually freeze. I did wear a long sleeve swim shirt and khaki shorts. (Only shorts I brought with me. Trip was a last minute add on). Make sure to take main roads and not the one lane trail road that Google maps led us down. There was an accident with several sirens heading down it right after we arrived. Don’t hold back if you’ve never been. GO! It’s such fun and there is not a better crew to go with for a great time.

A must do!!! - What an amazing trip!!! The guides were extremely knowledgeable and made it a lot of fun. Great for all ages!! Definitely coming back.

Had a blast - Had a blast! Dan our guide was awesome! We had a very exciting trip down the river. We all got soaked up! We loved it. Would do it again.

The best way to experience the power of the river! - We went on the inflatable kayak trip on the upper Pigeon River on Saturday afternoon, 9/21/24.we had intended to raft but the river is too low to make that fun so we opted for kayaks. Honestly, I thought it would be lame but it turned out to be maybe more fun than rafting. On a raft, you have a team that can help you but on a kayak, it’s you and the river. The guides are a constant source of comfort and Dan and Shara?had such Fantastic attitudes. We were the last trip of the day and I know how it can be dealing with the public but they were fresh and clean as newborns in the way they shared the information we needed. I’ve been rafting many times and kayaking but never in an inflatable. It was amazingly stable and took a beating that my personal kayak would have complained about. As long as you listen to the guides and do what they say and go where they go, you can slide right through the river as if you were never there. We don’t always listen, though. So when we got stuck, they were right there to help us and never complained. In fact, they were continuously building us up, giving us confidence and that feeling that we could get good at it. Kudos to Rip Roaring Adventures for finding a way to make the best of a drought and make it a trip worth revisiting!

Great First Time Experience - First time to Tennessee and they gave us great hospitality! Crazy experience and I am 100% coming back again! Highly recommend and LOOK FOR DAN THE MAN!!

A rapid hootenanny that will get your adventurous spirit dancing! - Don't miss out on this amazing experience and have no fear putting your trust in Rip Roaring Adventures to paddle you safely down the river. Robin was our guide and she was absolutely amazing! Not only did we have a blast but we learned so many fun facts about the Pigeon River. Robin knows her stuff and she knows that river better than the back of her hand. I had an exhilarating time riding the bull and was grateful to be splashed with rapid splashes on a hot day. The trip was the perfect amount of time and I love that everyone got the option to jump out and swim at the end. The art show of murals and mosaics along the river was an extra special treat that I didn't expect, be sure to keep your eyes open!

Freaking awesome - We loved our kayak trip with Dan and Raea. My husband and nephew were supposed to do white water rafting but there was drought and recommended the kayaks instead. At first we weren’t going to do it but we said why the hell not and booked the kayaks. My husband and I, and our family couldn’t have asked for better tour guides. They are phenomenal, knowledgeable, professional and so patient with us. Our experience was personal and so much fun.We highly recommend them and the kayaking. We will be back next year for sure because of them.

We started our trip early and the safety briefing wasn’t drawn out and boring they make it entertaining and the shop had - Amazing people being the business one of the best trips iv been on Dan was amazing one of my highlights on this trip and just a great experience

Amazing Time! Thank you, Robin!!! - Went on the white water rafting tour with Robin as my guide. She was phenomenal and I had the best time! She was knowledgable and experienced, and called out the name of every rapid as we went over it.
