Highlights
  • Frank E. Moss United States Courthouse - The Frank E. Moss Federal Courthouse in Salt Lake City, completed in 1905, originally served as a post office and courthouse. The building is steeped in history, with tales of the stern Judge Ritter who presided there, and lingering ghostly presences that some say still echo through its halls, adding a chilling aura to this historic site.
  • Holiday Inn Express Salt Lake City Downtown, an IHG Hotel - The Holiday Inn Express in Salt Lake City, while presenting a welcoming facade, conceals a disturbing past that reflects some of Utah’s darker history. Despite multiple remodels over the years, the hotel’s history is marred by unsettling events, and rumors of paranormal activity have emerged, adding an eerie undertone to its otherwise inviting atmosphere.
  • Capitol Theatre - Constructed in 1913 and originally known as The Orpheum Theater, the Capitol Theater was a vibrant venue for live vaudeville performances during the early 20th century. Today, it is renowned among paranormal enthusiasts for its haunting legends, particularly the ghost of Dickie Duffin, whose lingering presence adds an intriguing and eerie dimension to this historic theater.
  • Walker Center - The Walker Center in Salt Lake City, the last vestige of the Walker family’s influential legacy, is a towering skyscraper with a storied past. Having served various functions—from a bank and radio transmitting station to a weather tower—its multifaceted history has given rise to ghostly legends and eerie occurrences, adding a mysterious allure to this architectural landmark.
  • Judge Building - The Judge Building in downtown Salt Lake City, once renowned for its intricate craftsmanship and architectural elegance, has shifted its reputation to a more somber note. Today, it is infamously associated with the tragic death of Steven Christensen, a high-profile case that has cast a shadow over the building, making it a focal point for those intrigued by its haunting history and the dark events that unfolded within its walls.
  • Whiskey Street - Whiskey Street in Salt Lake City, named for its historic abundance of taverns, saloons, and breweries from the late 1800s, reflects the vibrant, yet turbulent past of the area. Today, the Whiskey Street Cocktails & Dining venue honors this legacy but is also notorious as one of the most haunted buildings in downtown Salt Lake City, where patrons and staff frequently encounter eerie phenomena and ghostly presences linked to its storied past.

Amazing experience - I was the only person on the tour and it was so much fun to have a private experience. My guide Cathy was very knowledgeable and made me feel super comfortable being on a solo tour

Fun for all ages - Our niece (12 F) was in town and loves ghost stories so we (40 F, 41 M) signed up to go on this tour. We have done several downtown tours with similar stories, but this was a brand new experience for our niece. Our tour guide, Isabella, was a great story teller and told the stories in a way that didn't make it boring for those of us who had already heard them but kept it interesting for the kiddo. The walking pace/amount was perfect for our group (we came prepared with walking shoes). I do wish we had brought water bottles with us, because it was hot, but I'll remember that for next time :)

Notable events tour (oh and also a ghost) - Whilst the guide’s enthusiasm was commendable initially, we left disappointed. The stories told were not at all “spine tingling” as advertised; we felt like we were on a “notable events” tour of one block of Salt Lake City with the “hauntings” being an afterthought. At one point we were told to watch the Netflix documentary of the story our guide was supposed to be telling us! When we reviewed the website, the stories/locations listed did not match the stories we heard on the tour, and some information was missing from the tour; we learned more from reading the website when we got home. Extremely disappointed and do not feel the monies paid were representative of our experience; regrettably we did consider leaving after 20 or so minutes. The guide was a lovely person but we do feel that, as performance goes, lacked in drama and mysticism that a “renowned” ghost tour guide should possess.
