Countryside, Culture & Cooking - We fully enjoyed this experience. The drive allowed us to see more of the beautiful countryside and appreciate stories of the people and the area. We arrived in the most scenic small fishing village and were greeted by the chef and welcomed into his kitchen to help prepare a most delicious meal caught fresh in the waters viewed from the dining room of the restaurant. The guide was so friendly and communicated well in English. Highly recommend this experience.

Amazing, Unique, & Fantastic. - This was an exceptional experience. Everyone was just fantastic and the chef was very knowledgeable and patient, as I did not speak Spanish. The food was incredible and so fun to make. I highly suggest this tour, especially to a solo traveler like myself. I really felt like we were cooking in the kitchen like a family and sitting down to enjoy a nice family meal.

Serendipity and a last minute decision - We had a spare day and this was a last minute decision. Couldn’t have been more happy about it. After a hotel pick up, a scenic drive through the Andean foothills and along the beagle channel we arrived at the restaurant for a sumptuous but simple 3 course crab lunch with wine. Then there was a quick walk to the Cascades, a lovely moss covered waterfall nestled in amongst the forest. Then a leisurely drive back to Ushaia. Full marks to our guide Lucas.

Good But Needs Fine-tuning - Overall a good tour. The guide picked us up promptly at our hotel at 9AM. There were a total of 3 people in the tour. We drove to Puerto Almanza, a small village about 2 hours from Ushuaia. We stopped a few times to see some beautiful scenery along the way and to take pictures. When we reached Puerto Almanza, we went to a restaurant and in the kitchen we boiled an already cooked king crab and the cook showed us how to eat it. They then take our order and we sit down and eat. After the meal, we go walking behind the restaurant which has a 10 min trail to a cute waterfall. After which we drive to a different lake where we sit and have a coffee break and some chocolates. the guide spoke English and he was quite attentive. we returned to our hotel around 5PM. Overall a good day spent driving around Tierra del Fuego. What I would have liked is to be more hands on and to be able to cook the crab from the point it's alive. i would have also liked to cook the dishes. I was expecting this to be a cooking class. The restaurant we went to was nice, but the food could have been ordered at most restaurants in Patagnoia. Ushuaia has a few restaurants where they have live crabs and cook to order. Lastly, in Viator, the tour states it starts at 5pm. It actually starts at 9AM and ends at 5pm. This should be corrected.
