First, we will head 22km outside the city to your accommodation near the trailhead at Valle de Lobos. Upon arrival, the guide will brief us on the excursion dynamics and provide a technical overview.

Next, we will embark on a walk lasting just over 2 hours through the valleys of the Andes mountain range. Along the way, we will encounter beaver farms, streams, rivers, peat bogs, and a variety of native flora and fauna, all of which our professional mountain rescue guide will highlight and explain.

Around noon, we will reach Esmeralda Lagoon, where we will take a break, enjoy a box lunch to recharge, and soak in the stunning lagoon scenery.

After our well-deserved rest, we will begin our return journey, walking for approximately 2 and a half hours back to the trailhead, where our transport will be waiting to take us home.

In total, we will cover about 9 km over the course of this 6-hour excursion.

You’ll be trekking 9 kilometers (round trip) through the forest, along glacial valleys, past beaver lodges, through peat bogs and under the spell of the enchanted Fuegian landscape the entire way.

This trek falls under the medium difficulty level and does not have any significant ascents or descents.
