Our itinerary includes an ascent via the “western” route, passing through the renowned French Valley, which offers an unbeatable view of the Bouvier mountain range (northern end of Lake Khami [Fagnano]).
The western route is technically easy but requires a good physical condition as the 15 km ascent involves a positive gradient of approximately 1,200m. Therefore, prior mountain trekking experience is necessary.
The summit provides one of the most comprehensive views of the mountain range. From the top, you can see the Darwin mountain range, the Onashaga channel (Beagle), Lake Khami (Fagnano), a fantastic view of the Ojo del Albino glacier, and Domo Blanco, among other attractions.
